This is interesting - here is a scene from a documentary on the making of PREDATOR that shows the original Predator design. I'm almost sure that one of the alien creatures in the NEW film closely resembles this one.

((((WARNING:SPOILERS)))) You are far kinder and forgiving than I've been, Andy. For certain, there were some pluses to be had, such as the panoramic cinematography, but I found much of the film such a thinly paled copy of the original that I have a hard time giving it any real original creative meri...

Ok, this has got to be one of the most inanely stupid films that I have ever seen. It's essentially a modern day remake of the original, but without any of it's substance, what so ever. I wish that I could do a point for point comparison of this washout to the original, and why it fails at every lev...

At this rate, like James Bond, they should just recast INDY with a younger, 30 something, actor and get on with it, already. Getting him back to the 1930's or 1940's would offer enough stories to fill out another trilogy, why go into the future? The fact that I know that Indy lives well into his 90'...

I saw the film a few weeks ago with director Nolan in attendance, speaking about the film. It's definitely better than the first re-invented Bat venture, which I wasn't so hot about, but the director seems have streamlined his vision here and most of the film works spectacularly. Ledger is so good a...

I LOVED the character and I thought it was excellent as well -- though I confess that I wasn't so crazy about the second half of it. It started beautifully and then turned into something much more routine -- and I became a bit exhausted by the chase scenes. I also found some of the social commentar...

Funny, so is the latest INDY film, but no matter how much you put paint over it, it still looks like ****. MHO, or course.

Now, now Andy, Don't get me started. Smile LOL Not trying to get you going John -- I preferred both MUMMY movies to this Indy film. :) Not to the others, but this one...absolutely. Interesting... and I preferred getting kicked in the groin repeatedly to this latest Indy outing. To each his own. ;) SH

Yeah, that Tazan scene is just about the worst thing that I've EVER SEEN in a film. Can't think what might rival that. Not even ISHTAR. Who I'm truly wondering about is actor Pat Roach, who was in all of the 3 previous Indy films, except this one. This guys indomitable presence would have made for o...

If I remember correctly, wasn't John Hurt supposedly to play the part of Abner Ravenrwood? At least, that's how I remember it being listed on IMDB.com (Anyone else recall this?) There seemed to be a connection to his character and Mutt (Henry Jones Jr III), but what ever that connection was apparent...

I'll have to say that this score was a real letdown for me. Both in and away from the film. Now, let me open my mouth a bit more so that rocks can be thrown. First off, I must agree with your assessment of the RAIDER'S MARCH. Unless they intended it to lack some luster, like an aging Indy himself, t...

I'm still pissed they packaged it in one of those HORRID cardboard digipaks. I can't believe anyone even still uses these stupid things. That, and, typically, they are not cheaper to produce, so the overall decision to use them is a real head scratcher. What are the odds that the re-released...

SPEILBERG and DVD comentary?

WTF! I'm sure that has been covered before, but why doesn't Speilberg do Commentary for any of his films DVD releases? Seriously, I just saw that they re-released the first 3 INDIANA JONES films and feel that this would have been a great opportunity to upgrade the content from the first box set from...

All I can say is that I was part of the first test audience to see a working print of this film, sans finished CGI and SFX/music, and it was a stinker. Always good to see Ford put on the hat, but his age really isn't issue as to why this film bogs down. The story is all over the place, so much so, t...
