Re: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT - July 27th - Trailer

I like all the M:I movies, so I'll see this. But I am very disappointed that Joe Kraemer was not asked back to do the score. I felt his Mission Impossible score was the best in the series, and one of the best action scores of the past few years. Agreed. Overall this series of movies continues to ke...

Re: Actors whose careers died/faded/never took off

Yeah that's a good one. Wasn't he in the Kung Fu Kangaroo movie Ronny Yu made (WARRIORS OF VIRTUE)?? Another one from that era is Dougray Scott. The original Wolverine, he was all over the place in the mid '90s (EVER AFTER), but then had to back out of X-MEN after the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2 shooting ...

Actors whose careers died/faded/never took off

Angus McFadyen who played Robert the Bruce in Braveheart. An incredible actor that chewed up and stole virtually every scene he was in.

Re: Elizabeth McGovern & Actresses Whose Careers Died

If anyone felt like it we could easily have an actor thread like this, too. So I made one!

Fascinating rabbit trail. I've had several "wow, I remember her!" moments in here. Good job.

Reading this article, you'd almost think, I don't know, that movies just aren't as good these days?

I'm a fan of Powell so I like that and especially over the likes of any number of other people they might have brought in.

Re: STAR WARS EPISODE VIII: THE LAST JEDI - "He's Not My Luke Skywalker"

I definitely can see the argument where Hamill going off the way he did wasn't the most professional thing to do in the world by a mile but honestly? I think the Mouse has been reaching out in some form of fashion with the bizarre degree of backtracks and outright flip flops I've seen. I can't prove...

Sorry if repeat here. I've not been able to keep up with the discussion as well as I would have liked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZlw64mI228 Watch this and listen to it. This isn't edited or doctored video. No acting by Hamill, either. This is him before and after he saw the movie and his visc...

Re: Quentin Tarantino's STAR TREK Warp Speeds to Pre-Production & HARD "R" RATING

I understand the balance but Star Trek was and is supposed to be something for "everybody." It could handle complex and "adult" issues in a manner that was approach for all ages and so forth. I know family friendly is a phrase that has gotten tarnished to become synonymous with kiddie fare these day...

Re: Quentin Tarantino's STAR TREK Warp Speeds to Pre-Production & HARD "R" RATING

I hereby retract my tentative positive sentiment in my previous post as well if that's anything to go by. That's not what it's about and how it's supposed to be. For me? Trek has been dead for a while. My Trek anyways. I'm sorry it's had to drag out like this and I really hope this project just neve...
