Isn't the 4-DVD set just the same 3-DVD set that's available in the US, but with the extra disc being the soundtrack album? Actually, Andy, the 4th disc contains the 30-minute HBO program "The Making of Titanic", a gallery of preview trailers, and three "Titanic" parodies: the S...

One question I had for you -- is it true Lois has a kid in this movie? The FSM board has a few people who are claiming that, and I'd find it fascinating (and quite odd!) if that was the case. Yes, Andy, that is indeed true. Lois in this film has a young son. Whether the boy's father is her fiance' ...

Superman Cinema is reporting that the Donner cut of SII will reportedly have 75% Donner footage in it, which jibes with everything we've heard over the years about how much footage Donner shot for SII. What's interesting is that they're reporting that the new cut will apparently have 35% of footage ...

After seeing it a few times, I've come to the conclusion that SUPERMAN RETURNS does not have a great trailer. Strip it of the Williams and Brando audio and what do you have? And I still don't understand why they had to alter the colors of Superman's costume...these days it seems everyone has a bett...

Posted on Kal-El.org this past Saturday... this one oughtta be interesting! Comics Continuum is reporting that Superman Returns: HBO First Look will premiere on HBO on Monday, June 19 at 10:15 p.m. Like other HBO First Looks specials, the one for Superman Returns will run 13 minutes. Other air dates...

Superman Homepage is reporting that the U.K. edition of Total Film magazine has included with its print publication the first commercially available DVD release of the "Superman Returns" teaser trailer, along with three of Bryan Singer's blogs: "To Fly" (#10), "Love Previs&q...

It's curious how, if this movie is neither a straight sequel nor a remake nor an "origin" story but apparently some combination of all three, that they're doing stuff like this. Well, Andy, it's suggested as a "sequel" of sorts to Richard Donner's version of "Superman II&qu...

I can't imagine what territory they'd cover in a fourth Indiana Jones movie. What's going to happen - we'll get to finally see how Indy loses an eye, explaining how old Indy in the "Young Indy" bookend segments wore an eyepatch? Seriously, they should have ended it with the third one and l...

Showest just debuted the new trailer, and AICN (which I couldn't give a rat's hind end about, so don't even get me started about them) has a detailed listing about what's in the new trailer. And Variety has reported that a very well known actor in today's movies has a prominent flashback cameo role ...

Re: SUPERMAN RETURNS Thread

I for one am excited about this new film. Sounds like Bryan Singer is going to do this project right. Since the only footage I've seen has been the teaser trailer, I'm going into it for the most part with a purer objective (not having seen all 27 of Singer's blogs). I've not even listened to any aud...

By now you've probably checked out the new WB web site "The Year of Superman", which is really cool and has the latest information on all the Superman-themed DVD releases through the end of 2006. Of particular notice is the mention that all of the "Superman" films will be issued ...

Star Trek: Fan Collective - Borg

I just got my review copy of the first Star Trek Fan Collective DVD set yesterday, featuring episodes themed around the Borg, and I've posted my review on TrekWeb.com. Basically put, I'm really disappointed with these new Fan Collective sets. After shelling out who knows how much bucks to get all of...

I would have LOVED for them to do a JURASSIC PARK sequel that was wall-to-wall, kick-ass action with NO CHILDREN ANYWHERE NEAR IT! I realize these movies are tailor-made for kids, but kids don't need to see children IN the story just to identify with it...they're there for the dinosaurs, not the ch...

As long as the extra features from the previous 2-disc release are ported over into this new 3-disc set, having the original 1920's version on DVD will be well worth picking up again if just for that alone.
