Re: FRIGHT NIGHT - Still Fun After All These Years

one of my all time favorite films! I love Brad Fiedels love Theme... the score is very simple and 80ies, but at least avoids cheap synths trying to emulate an orchestra. Surely no great compositions, but somehow eerily effective. The cast is outstanding and as much the new cast impresses, Im very sa...

ALIEN ANTHOLOGY BLURAY contains Iso Scores, for all 4 films

the bbfc has just released more infos on the Features of the Box Set and it included the fact that all 4 films will have iso scores! how cool is that! Alien 3 in complete form!
guess some labels will release the albums to that first...

well i havent seen it, so I cant judge yet. The director however has been far from making cheap-species-ripoff **** so far, so Id be surprised if he landed a silly b-movie-bomb... im surprised a bit about the height of the budget, but apparently the fx are very very good. Friends of mine saw it last...

i guess with SPLICE the studio made a bad decision trying to sell a smart small arthouse SF film as something like SPECIES and put it in the summer slot... im sure it wasnt very expensive and the director and co didnt really think it would be a big summer hit... it probably would have done better in...

unfortunately it depends on the studio if they provide you with reversibles. the whole logic behind is absolutely idiotic, also the huge rating logo. the funny thing is: they started with that to "protect youngsters", so all films must have this rating logo on the front, raging from G, 12,...

it is oddly out here in Sweden already and it was really a major disappointment. The story was forced and still almost nonexistent. All scenes seemed improvised on the spot, endless bickering that didnt go anywhere. All actors who were so much fun in the first one and lifted it up to a much higher l...

Elfman doesnt howl with the moon anymore

due big recutting of the film and Elfman busy with ALICE his already recorded score for THE WOLFMAN doesnt fit the film anymore and has been rejected. The new hired composer is... badabam badabam... Paul Haslinger... famous for his marvellous scores like DEATH RACE, TURISTAS, INTO THE BLUE and UNDER...

true CHILDS PLAY and POLTERGEIST 3 are really hideous scores... and Renzetti even won an oscar once... ugh... NOTC Score I dont think warrants a CD either, but if there are songs on it etc it might be a nice merchandise. CHILDS PLAY 2 would be too nice! Revell even integrated his theme in a very cle...

whats wrong with a 90min film? In the 80ies a film with running 2 hours was already regarded extended lenght... I enjoy a lean 90min film a lot more, very difficult to get bored during that duration than in a bloated 3 hours film like POTC 3 or TRANSFORMERS 2 (latter had not even enough plot and cha...

maybe it will be the opera as a film? hahahaha... well... I think his 86 film is one of the best horror films, if not films ever... no need to remake it, but as he did a remake back then already and apparently sees a reason to remake it again I think this could be interesting... I dont think he need...

and this content of the T4 set would be more than 25GBs??? To me it looks just like a Double Set sounds so much better and bigger than putting it all on one disc and milking the unassuming buyer a bit more...
