Re: GHOSTBUSTERS (2016) Trailer's Out

With last year's Vacation and this, you have to wonder what the hell Hemsworth is doing with his career. :?

Re: AIRWOLF - Complete Series Blu-Ray, May 3rd

What a weird choice for an 80's TV series to release on Blu. Are there really that many hardcore fans of Airwolf out there? :? I can't recall ever watching this show when I was a kid.

That's already more interesting than the plots of 90% of their movies. WACHOWSKI: An Ed Wood Film ("It's perfect!").

Re: 2nd Wachowski "Brother" Now a Sister

Hopefully the Sisters will produce a coherent movie....someday e04KEmsAc8k The Wachowski Sisters rank with M. Night Shyamalan as the filmmakers who have bungled the best breakout features the most egregiously. I don't see how you could sit through ANYTHING they make and expect anything other than g...

Re: Oscars 2016

The Original Song category is utterly baffling to me. Who are the people who even nominate these songs? A couple of years ago they didn't even nominate one song from INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS. This year there's a hugely popular song in Fast & The Furious -- which wins the Golden Globe -- and it's not...

Re: Weekend Box Office 2/28 - DEADPOOL Big as GODS Bombs

Proyas has come a long way since the days of The Crow and Dark City . :( I actually sort of dig Knowing , which I felt was underrated and kind of ballsy considering its ending (people mainly bagged on it for the presence of Nicolas Cage), but you wonder why such a gifted visualist is wasting his tim...

Re: PETE'S DRAGON Remake - August (Trailer)

I have no memory of seeing the original...maybe it's one of those films I caught part of on TV at some point as a kid, but I don't remember it. Generally, I'm not a fan of those live-action/animation hybrids Disney churned out in the 60's and 70's, mainly because I hate live-action musicals.

Re: Weekend Box Office 2/21 - DEADPOOL Reigns, Passes $200 M

WOLVERINE I can understand -- wasn't the extended cut of the last one R rated? It was, although compared to Deadpool , it's comparatively tame...slightly bloodier slashes from Logan's claws (mostly CGI), an extended fight scene with the ninjas at the climax (replete with one getting chewed up in a ...

Of course, look for studios to start greenlighting hard-R superhero movies left and right now. Last I heard, Fox is pushing for an R-rated third Wolverine movie.

Re: BATMAN V SUPERMAN - Rumblings It's a Disaster In Waiting

Honestly, of all the Batman movies I've seen, the one I liked best was Mask of the Phantasm (which has the best score, too)! Batman: The Animated Series remains, IMO, the best-ever adaptation of the character outside of the comics...a big part of the reason I found the Schumacher movies so terrible...

Re: BATMAN V SUPERMAN - Rumblings It's a Disaster In Waiting

While I'll certainly see this, my enthusiasm level is set very low. Especially in the wake of the frisky, deliberately inconsequential Deadpool , who wants another 165 minutes' worth of gloomy, Snyder/Nolan Disaster Porn mayhem? DC continues to have NO IDEA how to properly develop their superhero pr...
