Re: POWER OF THE DARK CRYSTAL Announces Director...

Any word on whether Trevor Jones is coming back? His score was one of the most important elements of the original Drak Crystal (and still arguably his best score). Paul Largely thanks to the deceased orchestrator, Peter Knight. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0461032/ Trevor Jones has NEVER again compos...

I'm reading it runs 135 minutes or so...sounds as if Malick tightened it up. I'm assuming that it was done with his blessing, though, since most of the complaints have been that it's too long. The score is an absolute gem on CD, very serene and relaxing...even some bird noises mixed in on a few tra...

The series has been picked up by the Sci-Fi Channel. Apparently there weren't enough episodes for the channel when they were first offered it, but with the second series in production it's easier for them to schedule. The BBC offered it to them sometime back. Their official comment then was 'the sh...

There are 3 and 4 disc versions floating around depending on where you are in the world...I think it's a superb set, there's an interview with Horner, the DTS soundtrack is nice, there are ample deleted scenes and loads of featurettes. The 4 disc set has some extra featurettes but nothing major, it...

Good price on FIREFLY...it's been popping up here and there online for that price, but when it does it doesn't last long. Keep an eye out for the Eastwood discs in the bargain bins. They had SHINING, EYES WIDE SHUT and a few other decent titles for $5.50 too. Yes. Firefly has now gone. Still a few ...

Managed to catch a couple of bargains at my local Walmart here in Schaumburg. Season boxsets of Firefly and The Lone Gunmen, priced at $19.98.

I never saw it, but it's probably the kind of thing that crops up at four in the morning on the sci-fi channel. :) From what I've seen of the Sci-Fi Channel, it's an old show which wouldn't fit into their schedule. When's the last time they screened any of the old classic scifi shows? TT is certain...

CE3K.

As 2007 will be the 30th anniversary of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, can we expect a new addition of this movie. Perhaps the deleted scenes reinstated? It's ceratinly a movie that Spielberg should go back to and give us the definitive version.
