Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - "Frantic Reshoots" STILL On-Going
I don't know - it's INDIANA JONES in the 1960's, man. I just threw up a little with Henry Jones Jr. riding what looks like the New York subway. If he waited a few years, Robert Shaw, Martin Balsam, and Hector Elizondo will show up. Then there goes the Dial of Destiny. And so much for paying homage t...

Re: New Disney licencing agreement with Mill Creek(!)
I think if you take a look at the stormy waters of the theatrical market right now, Iger seems to be prudent in taking a look at all channels of revenue to get the company back on track for growth. Even if this mindset is considered a stopgap measure, he at least understands the sales channels that ...

Re: Kathleen Kennedy To Exit After "Tribute" At Disney "Star Wars 23" Convention
Honestly, I don't understand corporate culture at all. Tell me what positive things she has done which would warrant a send-off like this? I just don't get it. Happens all the time in the corporate world. When someone has either screwed up in a way that affects the long-term growth or product pipel...

Re: TETRIS - Trailer - March 31st (Apple+)
Agreed, but I think most of the core elements are indeed true. Producer Matthew Vaughn had the same concerns when he read it -- “I was sent the screenplay. I didn't believe it. I was like, what moron came up with this idea, making a sort of a political Cold War thriller about Tetris? And then I got...

Re: SUPERMAN I-IV 5-Film Collection 4K UHD - April 17th
It's these kinds of packages that make it worthwhile. Nevertheless, I am curious about the first movie. Was it mentioned here before about the transfer complaints about the Superman UHD? I can't remember where.AndyDursin wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 12:11 pm Indeed, there is a regular version also available, but that artwork is awfully nice.

Re: MARATHON MAN (1976) - Andy's 4K UHD Review
MARATHON MAN was a required film in two classes that I took back in college: Screenwriting and Film as a Medium. I am glad to hear that it's in 4K and the transfer is great. I will certainly pick this up when it comes out in a couple of weeks.

Re: At last....RENT-A-COP
Just a tough road there for Jerry at the time. You'd have thought HOOSIERS being a hit and earning him all kinds of kudos would've immediately opened up him scoring some better projects there -- or at least some dramatic works (I guess CRIMINAL LAW was connected since it was also a Hemdale movie, a...

I actually have an $11 camera light, Logitech Brio 500, and Blue Rhino microphone set to cardioid pattern outside of the field-of-view at my work desk. Not earth shattering or expensive, but I've been told by several executives that it's the best quality video and audio they've experienced from a co...
