Re: (Fairly) new Blade Runner documentary

Great find Paul, looks like some of the last interviews Doug Trumbull gave among others.

Re: RDJ back in the MCU...as Doctor Doom?!

The whole franchise turned into this seed-planting Disney thing the second they turned it over to them. When we rewatched the run up to ENDGAME with Theo you could see it -- once Disney's executives started giving "input" the movies became cluttered ads as much interested in pushing the NE...

Re: RDJ back in the MCU...as Doctor Doom?!

The more I think of it, the dumber his casting is. Just looks so desperate and how poorly they've managed this post-ENDGAME phase, failing to cultivate new heroes and the lack of star power associated therein.

JOYRIDE (1977) - Andy's Blu-Ray Review

7/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cZbJcOmv1Y Entertaining 1977 B-movie from director Joseph Ruben and producer Bruce Cohn Curtis – a combination that, just a few years later, would give us the fun genre exercise “Dreamscape” with Dennis Quaid and Kate Capshaw. Ruben’s third film – but arguably f...

SUDDEN DEATH (1995) - Andy's 4K UHD Review

6/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJVMUJtLv1A After producing solid box-office with the Fall ‘94 hit “Timecop,” action star Jean-Claude Van Damme reunited with director Peter Hyams for “Sudden Death,” a “Die Hard” wannabe which Universal hoped would produce similarly solid returns at the Christma...

Re: ALIEN: ROMULUS - August - Fede Alvarez, Star-Free Cast - Trailer

7.5/10 Well, it might be the same beverage you've consumed before, but Fede Alvarez has concocted the tastiest cocktail this series has served up since 1986, so that's at least saying something. Making amends for Ridley Scott's utterly dreadful "Alien Covenant," a sequel so dismal it rende...

Weekend Box Office 8/18 - ALIEN Returns, Adequately

Re: Chick Flick rules the box office

I've had a handful of conversations with people I hardly know, and when the subject of movies comes up, it's always "there's nothing out there this summer." Or like last week, when the guy sitting next to us at a restaurant casually dropped, "yeah we're going to see DEADPOOL later. It...

Re: ALIEN: ROMULUS - August - Fede Alvarez, Star-Free Cast - Trailer

The big issue is -- what ELSE can you do with this series? It's like any long running horror franchise. They're all variations on the "old dark house" with a monster running around. Unless the monster starts singing and dancing, your options are limited. Reviews have been all over the map ...
