I think all of these movies are going to underperform for the same reasons that have been in play: 1.) Movie tickets are rip offs. The peripheral costs are arguably an even bigger rip off. (Food, drinks, parking.) 2.) Rude people in pubic. Fact of life but when you combine this with number one and y...

I wish there was a way we could get Special Edition tender lovin' care on the special effects, which were sorely needed, especially on the 1977 original Star Wars film, but everything else could be theatrical version for the purists. (Namely, Greedo shoots first, Williams's original Ewok theme at th...

I knew we were in trouble when I saw the title of the film.

C'mon.

Is there really any doubt in anyone's mind that this thing is going to be an atrocious abomination in every sense of the phrase?

Re: THE NEW WORLD on DVD: Standard To Start...

Just received my copy of New Line's NEW WORLD DVD (doesn't come out for a few months yet but it is the finished DVD, not a screener) -- apparently we'll have to wait on the Special Edition because there's nothing on here but the standard theatrical cut and no extras other than a Making Of split int...

Amazingly enough...I have to agree with roman again, 100 percent.

The only reason this movie got any nominations at all was purely politics and agendas.

It just isn't that good of a movie, anyway you cut it.

The insult to injury is this trash also winning the best score. Please.

Showest just debuted the new trailer, and AICN (which I couldn't give a rat's hind end about, so don't even get me started about them) has a detailed listing about what's in the new trailer. And Variety has reported that a very well known actor in today's movies has a prominent flashback cameo role...

I can't believe anyone really wants a JP4. Hasn't the novelty long since worn off by now? What's left to be done? The original book was fantastic, for the most part, although Crichton wouldn't know how to write fleshed out, real characters to save his life. His books are strictly about concepts. I l...

Why??
To bleed every last cent out of it, per the usual multiple dipping of titles these studios do.
