Sorry- that doesn't have much to do with film scores, but since Mr. Corigliano's name was mentioned, I couldn't pass up the chance... :) I highly reccomend these: Corigliano: Cretions and Other Works (Telarc CD-80421) I Fiamminghi conducted by Rudolf Werthen http://www.amazon.com/John-Corigliano-Cr...

PR site for HD-DVD
I came across this today...
http://www.thelookandsoundofperfect.com/
The descriptions of the format sound impressive, tho the list of HD-DVD titles which are actually available seems rather paultry (though you CAN get Caddyshack and Firewall!).

John Corigliano's score was excellent, and its certainly the best thing in the film. Its a much more traditional score than Altered States, with some very lyrical flute work (performed by James Galway). And the cue for the fox hunt scene is fantastic! I got the chance to meet Corigliano when he came...

interestingly Terry Gilliam was Rowlings first choice of director for the first movie. Wonder how different the whole show wouldhave turned out then... It would have been interesting no doubt. And he might have used some of the same people too (Roger Pratt, maybe John Cleese). But I don't think the...

Re: Williams-yes; Columbus-no; Newell or Couron-yes!
Offer Newell or Couron whatever they want to make the remaining films (they could each take one) and leave them alone to work their magic. I love all the Harry Potter films, and while I'm hardly a fan of most of Columbus' previous movies, I'm tired of hearing how Columbus is the "hack" an...

Wow...do you have any more stories about this production (if you're willing to share them)? Hugh Hudson does seem to have trouble connecting with audiences. I still think Chariots of Fire is a very good movie, as is Greystoke. I won't argue Revolution has some narrative flaws, but I love the visual ...
