As long as Jackie Bisset was my stewardess, I'd be fine.

You wanna talk bad pilots, what about Jack "It's a plane/It's a submarine" Lemmon!

Well that just goes to show ya...I couldn't abide Lane, and I enjoyed the Schickel books I read.

But again, I enjoy the writing of these people, but don't share their tastes. There's no one I consider a reviewer I trust. :(

I was surprised that Hailey never said anything about AIRPLANE! (you'd think someone would have interviewed him) and I don't know about you, but after ZERO HOUR and AIRPORT 1975, if I would have found myself on a plane next to Dana Andrews I would have asked to change planes! Imagine if they ...

Based on the leaks and such we've heard for months, I knew this thing was going to be DOA. They needed a lot more than a glorified "creature feature" episode to try and fix the mess the last two seasons of the series and finale left everyone with or not bother. As it stands, I really don'...

I've never heard anything by John Debney that didn't sound like it was being composed straight off the temp track, and that includes his "masterpiece" CUTTHROAT ISLAND. I enjoyed the first cue of that, but was always bemused when people over at FSM gushed about that like it's up there wit...

it is probably like with KING KONG where suddenly nobody seems to remember that Shore scored it... haha Yikes! It's times like this when I think of James Newton Howard's comment (paraphrasing) that action scoring is what separates the men from the boys in film music. JNH is one of the few currently...

well, no surprise the producers were shocked and had much of the actionmusic (if not all of it) replaced by John Debney in a last minute call... deservedly so... truly horrible... im just surprised that producers again apparently have never listened to Edelman's scores before, otherwise they would ...

I'm not saying YOU have no reason to like him, just that I don't see these qualities. (And no, I don't see BIG TROUBLE... as being some forerunner of Asian penetration into the US market--Bruce Lee was there first, Carpenter was there during a lull.) The thing about Carpenter, for me, is that he was...

I hope Ben is better than Jeffrey, who could be awfully flip and made Neil Gabler (at that time) as astute as Kael when making comparisons. God, I LOATHED Gabler and Lyons. I think Gabler had the dark hair, he seemed like the type of guy who'd hate a movie until you said you liked it, then he'd say...

Re: THE X-FILES: The Truth Hurts...

a convicted pedophile priest with ESP? And your big "star" is Billy Connelly? I just found that little bit out today, and thought "Won't be seeing this one." I came very late to X-FILES--like, 3 years ago, I think--and enjoyed the idea, but found the series very scattershot. The...

Ugh.

THE FOUNTAIN was almost perfect--there is ONE moment I'd have changed (I bet you know which one)--but was miles ahead of 99% of genre "product" of the last ten years. An outstanding, different film.

And now he's doing a remake of ROBOCOP?

Sad.
