AISLE SEAT POLL: What Film Will Win Best Picture??
I have to confess I'm not entirely excited about this year's Oscar race, but just to gauge everyone's opinions, here's the first, official Aisle Seat Poll for Best Picture.
BTW, this is not what "should" win, but what WILL win!!

I'm not overly techno-savvy on this, but DTS has always been preferable to Dolby Digital among cinephiles. The main reason being is that DTS is supposed to be closer to the bandwith of an actual CD track. DTS tracks are less compressed than Dolby Digital, requiring more space....and all of this goes...

Neo -- good point on FATAL FRAME. I actually have it for Xbox but have yet to play it (someday!), and I think you're totally dead on about the concepts of Japanese cinematic horror. They do, as you said, fall into their own trap, though on the other hand, I applaud their general lack of gore and att...

Hey Neo, I've seen those AMC MONSTERFEST DVD comps -- I was under the assumption they're legit, because all the movies on them (as well as all the other AMC branded cheap DVD compilations) are public domain titles. I didn't think Vol. 3 was any different...same rules apply to all those flicks. Maybe...

TRON 2?? Unfortunately, it's NOT a sequel....
...but another god-damned remake!! WHY?!?!?! I mean, for crying out loud, how 'bout a sequel?? Here's the Moviehole.com scoop: ------------ A couple of years ago it was rumoured that a sequel to "Tron" might be in the works. Strong DVD sales for the original and a popular computer-game alm...

Cruise and Spielberg were just in Connecticut to shoot at an old factory -- the story ran yesterday in the local papers up here (I forgot the name of the town). Apparently they wanted an old New England-esque mill/factory of some kind, I'm guessing for the scenes when Cruise and Co. flee out of the ...

I like LXG. Unashamedly. You watch that movie and you just see untapped potential all over it and that makes it frustrating, but it has a lot of good things going for it, and I think it's going to have a much better existence on DVD than it ever did in the theaters. Worth checking out! And Trevor J...
