The Lost World is Jaws compared to the howling ineptitude of JP3 . I had to laugh during the scene where William H. Macy tries to get correct change for the snack machine(!), because A.) there's no freaking power to run it , and B.) who wants to eat food that's been rotting in a vending machine on ...

Sadly, the extra features discs from the original (and wildly overpriced) DVD sets have not been retained on these new slimline case reissues. :( Still, the episode comentaries, deleted scenes and occasional special effects clips are still there, and the documentaries that were included on the origi...

The only thing about this film that doesn't look horrible (or, as Steve Martin would say, "Ooorible!") is Beyonce Knowles. :P

I'm also encouraged by the hand-drawn Curious George movie. Not really the kind of animated movie I'd personally go to see, but it's nice to see "old-school" animation techniques still clinging to life (and how cool that this year's batch of Oscar-nominated animated features have not one C...

Yeah, the abscence of Hopkins meant that Legend lacked the emotional gravitas of Mask (I'd heard a rumor once that Hopkins was going to film material for some flashback scenes, but apparently that idea was dropped), and some of the humor smacked of Spy Kids silliness (the horse in particular), but o...

Glad to read that you liked this, Andy. Can you believe how badly it was reviewed? Yes, it is slightly inferior to the original, but it's still a lot of swashbuckling fun (better than the overrated Pirates Of The Caribbean), and Catherine was lovely. :D

anyway, there were a couple things I liked about THE FOG remake, but it suffers from the pg-13 rating. Like I said a few months ago, the PG-13 rating on the Fog remake shouldn't matter, because the original film has NO VIOLENCE IN IT! . :? If Carpenter's film were re-evaluated by the MPAA today, it...

Terminator 3 aside, I can't think of any sequels made over a decade after the original that were any good (and T3 only worked because Schwarzenegger still looked pretty much the same as he did in T2 ). Indy 4 would be a Phantom Menace -level disappointment (could you imagine an Indy movie with Janu...

Yeah, Tarantino has said he wants to release Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair sometime this year, which would be both volumes stitched together (featuring an intermission at the halfway point) and with some extra footage (mainly the "House Of Blue Leaves" chapter in full color). I'd love...
