Well I liked it. if only for Catherine Zeta-Jones' cleavage :P). http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/54/039_34744.jpg Well, yes... it is worth it for that. But really, it was the only special effect that seemed to work. :D I juts wish that the story was as exciting as Catherine's bosom. Scoreh...

Sadly this new film is unable to capture the fun of ZORO's first adventure and comes off looking as unappealing and bloated as the now puffy and aging Antonio Bandaris. This is not to say that this film is without it's moments, but they are few and far between and it really seems more of a missed opp...

that sounds too bad. I really want to like this remake... well, still have to wait a couple weeks until its release over here... I guess they just didn't give the whole thing enough time, the shot and finished this movie in what? 7 months? Well... still I have hopes that it can't be worse than FLIG...

[Scorehead, I appreciate the comments. I'm just not motivated enough to spend $10 on a lot of movies these days, knowing I can review the DVD for nothing in about 2-3 months.] I agree, it seems that the more films that come out the worse the odds get to see a really good film and get your money for ...

I must say that by turns, this was one of the worst films that I have ever seen. I wish that I had the time, or the interest, to go into detail, but this film does no justice at all to the original. In short: the pacing is bad, the acting outside of Tom Welling is atrocious (that's a stretch, I know...

Yeah - the Brando thing is freaky!!! It seems more appropriate they just reinsert that in SUPERMAN II, as a Special Edtion, and be done with it. It's so sad the state of SUPER HERO films. As the advent of technology has abeled film makers to do anything they want now, the sky seems to be the limit. ...

I totally agree with you on your indifference, Eric. While I do like Revell's work, the CROW films seem to be the starting and stopping point for him in terms of his developing a true voice that one could recognize. He now seems to have become a composer that I refer to as "One of the Reliable,...

THE FOG: And the composer is...

Looks like Graeme Revell is the composer of choice when it comes to John Carpenter Remakes - http://www.musicfromthemovies.com/article.asp?ID=550 . It'd be nice if there was some references to Carpenters score, which was fun, propulsive, spooky and a great effort for his developing style of scoring ...

Singer and Ottman have clearly stated they DO want to pay homage to and connect this movie with the Reeve films. "Paying homage to" - I don't get this. The mere fact that they're making a SUPERMAN film means that they're paying homage. Seriously, as long as he has the big "S" on...

Its has to be tricky ground for a film maker to tread into such sacred territory and to mess with such an entrenched icon as SUPERMAN. Truly, John Williams' anthem is as identifiable and is as bonded to the character as the iconic "S" branded to his chest, that to try and make a film witho...

That's too funny! Looks like it's currently filming, too. This is for sure looking out to be the year of John Carpenter - complete without a John Carpenter film.

Go Johnny!

Thanks for the laugh.

Speilberg may be telling us that he's grown up, but he's also trying to convince us that he can still look on with the flavored edge that he once had. Instead his new films seem more like watered down, pseudo Speilberg than the real thing, something that other directors (Joe Johnston for one) have p...

Speilberg has always said that he makes movies about characters that he can relate to. As he has matured and evolved as a film maker, let alone just as a person, his films, to a degree, have also taken on that evolution, or so he would let us to believe. The films of his youth, JAWS, C3K, E.T. etc.....

"It's clear to me that this movie is flawed in ways that his more mature, or serious films aren't. THE COLOR PURPLE and EMPIRE OF THE SUN were his departure films that essentially said good bye to his reckless youthful ways and were the some of his youth again." This got cut up a bit - wha...
