Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - Andy's Review
There is a motif in "The Grafikos" that had promise. I wish it would have been more fully developed. I suspect had this film been more cohesive and made in the traditional fashion, he might have used something like that to serve as some underlying theme to the "Dial of Destiny." ...

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - June 30th
That ending on the album is definitely from the revised reshoot so I presume this assembly IS "the best stuff". I need to listen to this closely but lots of FSM'ers who usually consume the koolaid are trashing the recording quality and engineering element of the music. It's cleanly record...

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - June 30th
What I think is odd is how little the Indy theme is used. It's Helena's theme everywhere! Of course it's a long movie, and I would guess we are missing an hour of music. Did Williams leave off all the stuff he didn't conduct? Or did his rewriting of the ending cause it to be left off the soundtrack...

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - June 30th
Looks like the digital album is available online. The usual FSM complainers - No End Credits, some "Star Wars" inspired music in the "Germany, 1944" track. I will have a listen later. I guess some over there are expecting a "90-minute Empire Strikes Back Double-Album" i...

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - 1st Reviews: "Complete Waste of Time"
I don't WANT this movie - or Williams music - to be bad. Again, it's not the way his music or career should be remembered as. But the more these marketing featurettes try to energize the excitement with nostalgia and praise, the more you could see it as the last-minute attempt to bolster the profile...

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - 1st Reviews: "Complete Waste of Time"
Lack of themes now a recurring theme. :( John Williams also returns to score the adventure, but he’s short on memorable themes, failing to give the viewing experience soaring orchestral support. https://www.blu-ray.com/Indiana-Jones-and-the-Dial-of-Destiny/574252/#Review In the one new clip I see f...

What's with the cover art...

Re: Disney to Layoff 7000; Disney+ Subs Fall For The First Time
Remember when people thought this "digital revolution" meant subscribing to a studio based service was going to give you unlimited access to every one of their respective films until the end of time? Disney lost 300,000 US subscribers to Disney+ in this quarter, and that was with a ...

This should help out a bit to get people to become "enthusiastic."

Re: "Happy Made Up" STAR WARS Day!
The exact origin of the "May the 4th Day" in connection with STAR WARS culture remains a bit of a confusion for me, but I've noticed over the years that as more of the mainstream bean eaters who were mocking me as a kid (and later adult) for being a fan have now suddenly have become super ...

I actually like that cover. The steelbook is nice nice though. I've been waiting for this since the DVD era.

Re: "These Aren't the New STAR WARS Movie Announcements You've Been Waiting For"
These are perhaps the most entertaining "Star Wars" spinoffs that I've seen yet. It's Mystery Science Theater 3000 by way of the prequels. Funny series.

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - "Frantic Reshoots" STILL On-Going
Disney looks at this series and thinks you can remove all of that...Spielberg and Lucas too...and so long as Ford is there that it doesn't matter about the aesthetics, the storytelling, etc. as the era is so far divorced from what it was that it doesn't even resemble what came before. Even the 1950...
