Re: THE BATMAN - March 2022 - New Trailer

Yeah, I lost all interest immediately. Where is the sense of style? I don't want another dreary dark city where everything is hard to see. Give me Burton's Batman with the Gothic architecture....or even better, the animated series mix of 1990's tech and 1930s art deco! That would be cool. Do it up l...

Re: NO TIME TO DIE [Bond 25] - SPOILER Talk

LOL That video is 100% right about everything! Saw the movie with another Bond fan they other night. I liked the movie up they see Blofeld. The long precredits sequence was good, and I really enjoyed the stuff in Cuba (too bad that girl they met wasn't in the rest of the movie, she was great!) A bad...

Andy, I agree 100%

It's one of the reasons I enjoy Doctor Strange, the Ant-Man movies, and the first Captain America more than some of the other Marvel films the endings were at least something a bit different. Dr. Strange was him just sort of talking to the bad guy over and over until he won!

Re: Marvel's SHANG-CHI First "Asian Super-Hero Movie," Looks for "Ethnically Appropriate" Director

I saw it the other night. It's pretty decent. A cut above Black Panther and Captain Marvel, for sure. The movie started out well, had some inventive action scenes, the two leads were good. I can live without ever seeing Awkwafina again. She's pretty one-note. Also, more swearing that I expected! My ...

Maybe the short clip from Earthquake made them pull it?

I agree , it makes no sense. I watched that clip, and other than Williams sounding a bit overexcited about the battles he remembered as a kid, I don't see what could be offensive.

Re: RIP Norm MacDonald

To me, this is worse than Robin Williams dying. Norm was hilarious...one of the best talk show guests of all time. If you saw him coming up on the next Conan or Letterman, you knew something special would happen. His long-winded jokes that stretched for 5 minutes to get to the corniest punchline cra...

Growing up, I only knew him as the creator of the Eek the Cat cartoon!

MJ: a few suggestions: Volunteer at a local library. Or homeless shelter. Or a boys/girls club. Or volunteer to go into a public school and be a book buddy for a youngster. Join a trivia league at a bar. Help out at an animal rescue. Does your theater have a film club? (my Alamo has one which meets ...

Re: SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES and WATCHER IN THE WOODS Finally on Blu-Ray Via Disney Movie Club

I have one more movie to buy to complete my second subscription...there hasn't been anything good in a long time, and I was thinking it'd have to be Black Widow :-/

Something Wicked This Way Comes might be a better choice though. Haven't seen it in years.

Wouldn't be a Disney remakerebootsequel if the gender or race of the lead character wasn't swapped out. zzzz At least give us a digitally de-aged Jennifer Connelly... :) https://66.media.tumblr.com/706cd3a6bcad99b65055c8938a96f57e/tumblr_o56u6aPKwN1ro2c2ro4_500.gif But hopefully with slightly less ...

Re: Frank Oz: Muppet Sale to Disney "Killed Jim" Henson

I don't understand why Disney doesn't have the right people in charge of their various departments...who is in charge of the muppets? Whoever it is, is awful. From the newer voices to the awful Muppets Now! thing on Disney+, it's all bad. I do enjoy the muppet talk show called Earth to Ned, as it is...

Re: rate the last movie you saw

The Last Starfighter (6/10) Our local Alamo drafthouse had this as part of their Saturday morning showings with breakfast cereal. I took my 9 y.o. son, who had never seen the movie. After a lady who runs their "Pyscho-Cinema" gave a long-winded talk about the movie (boring my son & my...
