Re: "Spielberg's Flop Era" - Telegraph Editorial
I plead guilty to liking a few of his late period films: WAR HORSE, LINCOLN, BRIDGE OF SPIES. I have yet to watch READY PLAYER ONE...just can't get up the gumption to watch it. And I am not watching WEST SIDE STORY - absolutely zero interest in that.

Re: "Spielberg's Flop Era" - Telegraph Editorial
Funny, but the way she describes Michelle Williams sounds a lot like the way Sally Field acted in LINCOLN...I thought she tried too hard in that movie and she really stuck out like a sore thumb. I have no intention of seeing THE FABELMANS as it looks super pretentious...it also sounds like I may hav...

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - Waller-Bridge Being Substantially "Reduced" in New Edit
Hopefully the rumors that KK is OUT (as well as her minions) will enable Disney to move forward positively with their IPs. It will take a long time to erase the memory of what KK did to these franchises...but at least she and her minions cannot get their hands on them anymore.

Re: INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY - Williams Says New Ending Being Shot!
My hope for fans is that Disney will do the right things - sounds like they are doing just that but I guess the proof will be in the final product. I am still going to skip it though - just cannot drum up enough interest internally to want to see the movie.

Re: GLADIATOR 2 To Star Paul Mescal, Scott Directing
Alien: Covenant was brilliant...I don't know why you all are hating on the movie so much. Lol...JUST KIDDING! Even I, being the resident champion of ALIEN 3 on this message board, have not been able to go back and watch the film after seeing it in theaters...making it the only ALIEN film I hav...

Re: 2023 - What's Ahead At The Movies (Spoiler: Nothing You Haven't Seen Already)
The only one I will go to is DUNE part 2. Read through the prequel trilogy last year...cannot get enough. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Part 2 will be just as good as Part 1. Otherwise, unless the next Kong/Godzilla film comes out, will happily stay at home and watch DVDs of better fare. Defi...

Re: rate the last movie you saw
\I can certainly give it some points for sincerity, but a big screen telling of this deserved to be done with the same kind of innovative approach Gibson gave for the Crucifixion. Overall, nothing stellar. Yeah, I was pretty-much "eh", about this movie too. And I don't think the announcem...

Re: All Things BATMAN Thread
I have never re-watched the Schumacher films since they were in theaters (wait...I think I watched Forever on VHS), and have no desire to do so, even in an "ironic" look-at-how-bad-this-is-and-laugh-at-it way. They strike me as one of the earliest examples of what's commonplace now, seque...

BATMAN FOREVER – 3.5/10. In the third installment of the Batman movie series Val Kilmer takes over the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman from Michael Keaton. In this story Batman has to fight off the team of former DA Harvey “Two-Face” Dent (Tommy Lee Jones) and disgruntled Wayne Enterprises employee Edwar...

Re: Read a Book, then Watch Its Movie!
MOONRAKER by Ian Fleming (1955, 247 pages). Sir Hugo Drax, a British national war hero, is in the final stages of building a new ICBM for England called the Moonraker. Everyone is proud and excited about the new weapon and cannot wait for it to be tested…but M is suspicious of Drax because it seems ...

Re: All Things BATMAN Thread
I finished watching the Batman 60s TV show this week. Season Three was interesting in that they brought in Yvonne Craig as Batgirl (maybe to appeal to a female demographic and get rating back up) and most of the Dynamic Duo's encounters with villains were wrapped up in one episode instead of two (th...
