It's interesting to be of my age group, to be really into horror films, and yet not like the movie that so many consider THE horror movie of their day. I found HALLOWEEN a complete bore, and watching Siskel and Ebert try to make it seem like a great movie is actually what made me stop taking them se...

Something I've gotten recently in my itunes orgy from the library (doesn't cost anything, and I've added about 20,000 songs to my collection) that I bet everyone here would enjoy is the Yo-Yo Ma performance of Taverner's THE PROTECTING VEIL. I've loved this music for over a decade, and Ma's performa...

That script was always gestating, that's true...but the specific plot points you continuously attribute to Fincher and his POV were there long before he was.? What are you refering to here? Fincher is a director, I never claimed he was a screenwriter. (That's pretty clear from some of the whoppers ...

I LOVE the WINTER KILL score on that one. The main title is kinda goofy with that synth but I love the whole thing.

There's a not-all-there quality about Mariah Carey that makes her unattractive to me.

Megan Fox, on the other hand, has an all-there-unfortunately quality. I find her about as hot as an ice cream scoop, because she keeps TELLING us how hot she is.

Hunger 2008. Fifty Dead Men Walking 2008 http://www.irishfilm.net/IRA-y.html I guess it's okay to make films about Irish terriorists. It plays well in certain 'areas'. Two films I've never heard of sure doesn't seem like some huge trend, or even a tiny trend. Or any kind of trend. Not sure how this...

Yeah, I read that, and seriously, if I never see another Jack Black movie, it'll be too soon. I imagine most AICN posters are a lot like him. I hope the next movie involves them EXPLORING, and the action develops from that. This series needs to grow organically, from what works with these actors doi...

The thing about that scene was that I kept thinking 'Can we pull back a little from all these giant heads on the screen?" I was sitting in the very front row and it was like looking at the balloons in the Macy's parade while sitting on the curb.

Marah :: 20,000 Streets Under the Sky For a minute there I thought that was Mariah (Carey). Good lordy, no--I like MUSIC. :D I couldn't list all the new stuff in my collection. I have become master of the Interlibrary Loan and haven't had to spend a dime, and I now have 20,000 songs in my itu...

Why not? They seem to make films about the IRA/Sinn Fein. They do? I can think of three, none very recent. Including one with IRA supporter Rose McGowan. That one star supports the IRA hardly seems like proof they make numerous films about the IRA. Three movies I can think of in the last three deca...

You know what's depressing? The fans calling for a Wrath of Khan remake.

As with the fans who thought it was cool when Williams reused bits of the Empire score in Sith, these ones seem to be retreating to their security-blanket childhoods before they're even out of childhood.

This is from a great article published at the time--I have a magazine copy. As you can see in the first line, Fincher certainly was involved in the pre-production, though as we know sets were under construction. http://www.movie-list.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7415 With Fincher signed, Fox hired Lar...

But Fincher really had no original vision for that movie. . That's completely untrue. Weaver describes her first meeting with him as being what really got her excited about the part. It's not like all directors come in at the embryonic stage of a movie, and Fincher's complaints about how the movie ...
