I love SLEEPY HOLLOW (it's right up there with my favorite Burton films) and am still one of the few APES fans out there...it has its problems but at least it had some quirky and imaginative elements as well. I'm also a big Sleepy Hollow fan. In fact, it's become one of my favorite Halloween-time s...

The cherry on top is the narration, unmistakably performed by Geoffrey Holder.... Y'know, I kept thinking, throughout the film, that the narration was by Christopher Lee. Agreed, though, that the film was an imaginative treat, and that Elfman's score is his most inspired work in years (what ...

Saw a clip Cruise showed with Leno tonight on the TONIGHT SHOW. In it, Cruise, Fanning, and some other guy are in the cellar hearing noises from up above and seeing weird lights. Funny I seemed to like this scene better when it was in SIGNS a few years ago :( Even the staging seemed identical! Hope...

I actually noticed the WILHELM... a scream used in countless movies.. there is actually a short clip which consists only of the scenes where this scream was used... trying to track that down... this time it was used very obvious.. funny that a sound designer has such a trademark, too! :-) The "...

But one thing's for sure: the uncut LD documentary NEEDS to be on the new DVD! From everything I've gathered about the new 30th anniversary DVD, it will be. :D Add to that the original mono soundtrack (in addition to the lousy 5.1 remix in Dolby Digital and DTS flavors) and this release seems prett...

While it will be great to have the full-length, 2-hour Laurent Bouzereau documentary preserved on DVD (it's one of the best ever done), the real reason to applaud this double-dip is that Universal is finally providing the film's original mono soundtrack (which earned one of the film's three Oscars, ...

I'll grant you the proposed remake of Hitcher (which I just discovered for the first time a few months ago) is pretty uneccesary, as the '86 original isn't dated in any particular way (unlike a lot of it's 80's genre brethren). Plus, a young Jennifer Jason Leigh! :P That said, 20+ years offers enoug...

Im not sure why some people are upset at the idea of remaking/sequelizing Carpenter's The Thing , as it was a remake itself. :? If there can be three versions of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers , why not The Thing ? And as for the new version of The Fog , the original is fun, but hardly a classic. I'...

I'd love to see an SE of The Secret Of NIMH (one of my all-time favorites) someday. Just a Don Bluth/Gary Goldman commentary and a making-of would leave me satisfied (or, at the very least, a widescreen transfer). Maybe an isolated score in tribute to Jerry? Also, Brian De Palma's excellent Blow Out...
