Considering that Dawson's nude scene was the only redeeming asset of this bloated turkey, I'm not complaining. :P

What horror remake in the past 20 years was better than its original? Not quite the last 20 years for the first two, but... - Invasion Of The Body Snatchers '78 - The Thing '82 - The Fly '86 - Dawn Of The Dead '04 Kaufman's Snatchers and Cronenberg's The Fly are better than the originals, Carpenter...

I know there are a lot of people who like that version, but it really is a relic of its time IMO, and hasn't aged well. That's what I actually like about the Body Snatchers movies, is that each one is so specifically rooted in the particular era it was produced in. I like the Kaufman movie the best...

While I have nothing against another go-around with the pod people, the presence of remake queen Nicole Kidman, coming off the awful-looking re-dos of The Stepford Wives (the original of which was already a riff on Body Snatchers ) and Bewitched , gives me pause. I mean, Kidman's translucent skin an...

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies? I guess Pearl Harbor sucked, but not as much as I miss...you.

Oh come now -- there were plenty of movies that were far worse that were also released in 2001. Maybe not as many overhyped and overanalyzed blockbusters such as Bay and Bruckheimer's film, I'll grant you that, but nevertheless, I'd rather sit through PEARL HARBOR anytime than A.I. again...or ALONG...

Well Jack, I respect your opinion, but I have to part company with you here. I'm not a big Bay fan whatsoever but a couple of his movies are far better than Ed Wood quality. PEARL HARBOR -- in spite of its flaws (and it had plenty) -- is a far, far better movie than the FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX remake...

Mark, I heard years ago that he recorded a commentary for THE CROW DVD but Dimension/Miramax opted not to include it, presumably because he said some critical things about the studio and/or what happened in regards to Brandon Lee's death. I'm surprised Proyas gave an I ROBOT commentary at all but I...

Bay has never made a movie even a fourth as good as Moore's Flight Of The Phoenix. Hell, Bay has never made a movie a fourth as good as an Ed Wood movie.

I really enjoyed Moore's smoothly-crafted remake of Flight Of The Phoenix, so I choose to be cautiously optimistic, at least until I can see a trailer. 8) The big question is, how do you top Jerry's unforgettable score? :?

I love SLEEPY HOLLOW (it's right up there with my favorite Burton films) and am still one of the few APES fans out there...it has its problems but at least it had some quirky and imaginative elements as well. I'm also a big Sleepy Hollow fan. In fact, it's become one of my favorite Halloween-time s...

The cherry on top is the narration, unmistakably performed by Geoffrey Holder.... Y'know, I kept thinking, throughout the film, that the narration was by Christopher Lee. Agreed, though, that the film was an imaginative treat, and that Elfman's score is his most inspired work in years (what ...

Saw a clip Cruise showed with Leno tonight on the TONIGHT SHOW. In it, Cruise, Fanning, and some other guy are in the cellar hearing noises from up above and seeing weird lights. Funny I seemed to like this scene better when it was in SIGNS a few years ago :( Even the staging seemed identical! Hope...

But one thing's for sure: the uncut LD documentary NEEDS to be on the new DVD! From everything I've gathered about the new 30th anniversary DVD, it will be. :D Add to that the original mono soundtrack (in addition to the lousy 5.1 remix in Dolby Digital and DTS flavors) and this release seems prett...
