It has been a very troubled production (according to several sources just because of the director, who had no experience with handling something this big)...

the 300 movie may be as close to the graphic novel as a movie can be, but well, this only tells me, that not every great comic makes a great movie. oh yeah, it was way too long... what was that with the 5 endings? it really didnt know when to end... a lot of great jokes, but I didnt find the basic premise very interesting and well it was too long, Simon Pegg wasnt very credible as the tough cop either.
