Thrilled to hear A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy is coming to BD. Despite the somewhat vulgar title this is one of Allen's most touching films, a nostalgic fantasy beautifully shot by Gordon Willis (and is sure to look extraordinary in HD).

I just watched THE FANTASTICKS and ZARDOZ -- really excellent job by Nick and company on these.

The one area I really have to commend Nick and Brian on is their choice of releases. They mix it up and give you a nice variety of films every month -- typically something "old," something "newer" from the 70s-80s, and then a few foreign, or very specialized, titles. There's usually something for everyone in there, and I think the fact that they are selling well is an indication that they've got "the mix" right by this point.

If I had a bigger budget then maybe I would have upgraded "Best Of Everything" but not with things as they are now so pass on all the new ones.

I was seriously considering The Blue Max when TT had their recent sale, but it's available in Germany for less than ten euros.

Everything is too expensive now because of the exchange rate difference between the US and Canada. I'm not buying anything that isn't on sale and I know a few other Canadians who are doing the same.

I'm actually most excited about Devil in a Blue Dress, an outstanding and underrated film.

(By the way -- why has no one yet released Elmer Bernstien's score from this film???)

"My name's not fella, it's Ezekiel Rawlins!"

I'm looking forward to seeing it again. The score and the setting were terrific. The story -- at least the crime procedural element -- kind of left me cold, but Denzel was great and I'm wagering it's held up well.

For Don Cheadle's breakthrough performance as Washington's not-too-stable but loyal friend, this film is worth seeing and owning.

Yes, Jeff, great point. My only quibble was the whole Jennifer Beals "mystery" component -- felt kind of contrived -- but everything else was terrific. I recall seeing that when I was at BC.

Beals looked awfully hot in it, though. :D
