INNER SPACE - Australian TV Series Narrated by William Shatner

#1 Post by AndyDursin »

Anybody hear of this? It's on DVD in Australia with a CD soundtrack to boot.

Ron & Valerie Taylor's Great White footage was seen in JAWS and BLUE WATER, WHITE DEATH too...

At any rate, I might grab it through Madman's 20% off sale. 8)

The legendary 1973 Australian television series Inner Space is a sub aquatic documentary-adventure series from the husband and wife underwater filmmaking team Ron and Valerie Taylor.

Considered to be amongst the world's premier shark experts, the Taylors’ pioneering footage has been a source for underwater sequences for many Hollywood films and nature documentaries including Jaws, Orca and The Blue Lagoon.

With careers spanning over 50 years, their highly respected work in the field of marine exploration and conservation has been the subject for many multi-award-winning books, films and National Geographic features.

More recently their 1970s films have been emulated and parodied (along with the films of Jacques Cousteau) in the Wes Anderson film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

Join the Taylors in a bathyspheric jet set adventure across Australia's oceans and witness their stunning underwater imagery of sharks, coral reefs and sunken shipwrecks teeming with exotic marine life.

The complete 13 part series features narration by William Shatner and includes the enchanting jazz soundtrack by film composer Sven Libaek.
