Tales From The Crypt Presents RITUAL Finally Gets Released

This has been sitting on the shelf at Dimension for literally years...I believe it was completed in 2001.

At any rate, RITUAL is actually a surprisingly watchable modern remake of I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE, co-scripted by Rob Cohen (wonder when he wrote this -- I'm guessing years before?), with Jennifer Grey, Craig Sheffer, and Tim Curry. A bit slow moving but easily the best of the Tales From the Crypt features, with a decent score by Shirley Walker. The Dimension DVD is 16:9 enhanced and 5.1, which is both superior to the Region 3 DVD I've had for a while.

It should be noted this DVD *DOES* in fact have the Crypt Keeper segments, which might have been added some time after the fact since they have their own seperate credits and only open and close the feature. These were missing from the Region 3 DVD and I'm guessing other international versions.
