I just came back from seeing "United 93" with my father. He knew two of the passengers on the flight, Donald and Jean Peterson, and Todd Beamer was in the same college class with me. It was something we both had to do.
I had earlier seen the cable movie "Flight 93" which I felt was a commendable effort, but "United 93" is far more intense. Without saying anything else, this is a film that I think should be required viewing for all Americans to get a sense of how a group of strangers who never each other's names were able to band together on such short notice and formulate a response to their doomed situation.
