I'll echo the first person that wrote in the comments of that link: Where's the BD version? I'd love to have this on Blu!

I think my favorite scene (and the only one I really remember) is when the human and alien are going at it while the other human looks on and says something like, 'There's something wrong with that.' :)

What I enjoyed about this was that Sigourney Weaver's character never got into it--the captain and the Alan Rickman character were trying to go at least half-way, but Weaver was just pissed that she was in this situation. Her reaction to the difficulty of getting to the engine room or whatever it was at the end was perfect--"Whoever wrote this episode should be shot!"

Actually, she says "Whoever wrote this episode should die!," because it was where she and Allen character have to go through the chompers, one of my favorite scenes in the film and one of the worst post-dubbing examples ever. Weaver's character takes one look at the chompers and her lips say "Well, f*** this!" but her voice says "Well, screw this!" Gotta get that PG rating. . .I would love to see the undubbed version of this scene.

The earlier mentioned scene with a romance between an alien and a human has another classic line: Sam Rockwell trys to avert his eyes as Tony Shaloub and Missi Pyle start getting amourous and says things like "Get a room, guys," to mask his embarrassment. When they disappear and it looks like things have gotten hot and heavy, Rockwell gets a look of revulsion on his face and groans "Ohhh hey, that's not right!" LOVE that reaction.

Considering I have a memory so poor it should be in Guiness, I remembered that line pretty well, thank you very...uh...much!

I recall noticing the dubbing in that line the one time I saw the movie. If you can tell something's been dubbed while you're in the theater seeing it for the very first time, that's some sloppy dubbing.

I'm wondering why that is? This would be a day and date purchase for me on Blu.
