British distributors Network have revealed that they will add three additional titles to their Blu-ray in early 2015: Blake Edwards' The Tamarind Seed (1974), Ralph Thomas' Hot Enough for June a.k.a. Agent 8 3/4 (1964), and Leslie Arliss' A Man About the House (1947).

The Tamarind Seed

A captivating romantic drama unfolds against a backdrop of Cold War paranoia in this acclaimed feature by multi-award-winning director Blake Edwards. Featuring an outstanding score by multiple Oscar-winner John Barry and presented here in a brand-new High Definition transfer, The Tamarind Seed stars Julie Andrews as a Home Office minister s assistant, and Omar Sharif as the Paris-based Soviet attaché with whom she falls in love; among an outstanding support cast are Anthony Quayle and Sylvia Syms, whose performance earned her a BAFTA Award in 1974.

Holidaying in Barbados where she hopes to overcome the unhappiness of a broken love affair, Englishwoman Judith Farrow meets debonair Russian Feodor Sverdlov. As they explore the island paradise together they are, outwardly, simply two people falling in love. Yet as their mutual feelings grow, so too do the suspicions of the intelligence agencies in London and Moscow. In a world where no-one is to be trusted and appearances can be fatally deceptive, every move they make is being watched...

Out-of-work author Nicholas Whistler is happy to accept the offer of a luxurious, all-expenses-paid business trip behind the Iron Curtain. On his arrival in Prague, everyone - including his beautiful and seductive chauffeuse, Vlasta - assumes the Czech-speaking Nicholas to be a spy and it doesn't take long before he's alone and evading the Czech secret police!

STREET DATE: FEBRUARY 23.

A Man About the House

Having directed and scripted some of Gainsborough Pictures best-known melodramas, Leslie Arliss was well chosen to helm this atmospheric thriller of 1947. Boasting cinematography by Oscar winner Georges Périnal and an early film role for Kieron Moore, A Man About the House is adapted from the novel of the same name by noted English writer and composer Francis Brett Young. It is featured here in a brand-new High Definition transfer from the original film elements in its as-exhibited theatrical aspect ratio.

Two English sisters, Ellen and Agnes Isit, inherit a Neopolitan villa from their uncle and move to Italy in order to sell the property. Once there, they fall under the spell of the villa s handsome and charismatic caretaker, Salvatore. The villa was once owned by Salvatore's family, and he longs to regain ownership of the property; when he marries Agnes, his dream moves a step closer. But Agnes begins to suffer from a debilitating illness, and her sister s suspicions are aroused...

British distributors Network Releasing have announced the titles within their The British Film collection for January – March 2015. Please note that the announcement is for the complete line-up, which includes Blu-ray and DVD releases.

The British Film collection was launched by Network Distributing in April 2013 as part of a five-year plan to release over 450 vintage British films through a deal with Studiocanal, one of Europe's leading distribution and production companies. Many of the films have never been available to own and will benefit from new transfers, affirming Network Distributing's commitment to classic British cinema.

Titles include significant works from studios including Associated Talking Pictures, Ealing Studios, London Films, British Lion, Associated British Picture Corporation and EMI from the Studiocanal archive.

Ten years ago Network embarked on its most ambitious release schedule ever by teaming up with ITV, persuading them to open up their archival treasure trove and allowing us to release pretty well whatever took our fancy from across the decades. The intervening years saw a wealth of commercial television hits, misses, oddities and orphaned titles unleashed to a tv-hungry audience and which today has culminated in more than 1,500 individual releases.

So we are delighted to announce, finally, that we have entered into a new agreement with ITV for a further ten years. This enables us to mine the archives yet further to bring you more hidden gems and titles you thought you would never see again or even imagined as well as continuing our programme of restorations and special editions of the best titles in the collection. We’re also working on new ways to deliver this amazing content to you so whether you love discs, box sets or digital sit back, get comfy and prepare yourself for another journey through time and space…

An alien being chooses two children to assist him in improving the Earth...

A spaceship on a scientific mission is flung into the far reaches of outer space...

A police lieutenant fights organised crime on a distant planet......these are The Lost Worlds of Gerry Anderson!

Creator of the legendary Thunderbirds, Gerry Anderson scored incredible successes throughout the 1960s and '70s with Captain Scarlet, UFO, Space: 1999 and other series which appealed to both children and adults alike. Not all his ideas, however, went to a full series and this set contains the 1970s pilots for both The Investigator and The Day After Tomorrow, as well as the 1986 pilot for Space Police, which was eventually reworked as Space Precinct nearly a decade later. Alongside these rare and much sought after programmes, this collector's set also includes:

[] Here Comes Kandy and You've Never Seen This - Gerry's earliest work, from 1955

[] Image galleries for all three pilots

[] New transfer of remaining film elements for Space Police, alongside the 1992 "Reloaded" edit and test footage

[] Dick Spanner, PI - an unscreened episode with accompanying image gallery

[] Blue Skies Ahead and an accompanying Blue Cars advert, made by Gerry in partnership with Nicholas Parsons

British distributors Network have announced and detailed four new titles that will enter their Blu-ray catalog between February and April: Ralph Thomas' Campbell's Kingdom and Percy's Progress a.k.a. It's Not the Size That Counts, Michael Winner's The Nightcomers, and The Professionals Mk III.

Campbell's Kingdom

Dirk Bogarde gives an intense performance as the young man who refuses to allow a family dream to die, in this powerful adaptation of Hammond Innes' best-selling novel.

Scripted by BAFTA winner Robin Estridge and featuring an outstanding supporting cast – including Zulu legend Stanley Baker – Campbell's Kingdom is a moving story of courage, boasting one of cinema's most thrilling and spectacular climaxes. This classic film is featured in a High Definition transfer made from the original film elements, in its as-exhibited theatrical aspect ratio.

Bruce Campbell, a young Englishman recently diagnosed with a terminal illness, travels to the Canadian Rockies to claim an unexpected inheritance of land from his grandfather. Determined to prove the old man's conviction that there is oil in his 'Kingdom', Bruce resolves to devote his final months to vindicating the claim - meeting determined and unscrupulous opposition from almost everyone in the valley...

Special Features:
•Original theatrical trailer and textless material
•Four image galleries, including behind-the-scenes and publicity shots

STREET DATE: APRIL 6TH.

Percy's Progress

A rumbustious sex comedy boasting a truly stellar international cast, Percy's Progress charts the ongoing misadventures of Percy Edward Anthony – recipient of the world's first penis transplant. This cult sequel to the box-office hit Percy features Leigh Lawson, Elke Sommer, Judy Geeson, Denholm Elliott and Harry H. Corbett, and is featured here in a brand-new High Definition transfer from the original film elements, in its original aspect ratio.

Determined to conquer his addiction to the opposite sex, Percy takes to the high seas in search of a life of celibacy. Meanwhile, a major catastrophe takes place which has rendered the entire male population impotent… But all is not lost: Percy is being closely monitored by the British Government, and on his return is informed that he is the only male now capable of saving the human race!

STREET DATE: APRIL 13TH.

The Nightcomers

Marlon Brando's intense performance dominates this atmospheric, sexually charged feature from a golden age of British horror, directed by Michael Winner and also starring Stephanie Beacham in her first major film role. Visually stunning in a High Definition transfer from the original film elements, The Nightcomers sketches a prequel to Henry James' classic Gothic novella The Turn of the Screw, with Brando in typically compelling form as the servant whose disturbing, magnetic presence exerts a corrupting hold over the occupants of a country estate.

Following the death of their parents, Flora and Miles are left in the care of repressed governess Miss Jessel, and housekeeper Mrs Grose. But it is Peter Quint, the malevolent Irish servant, who truly rules the household; Miss Jessel, equally repulsed and fascinated by Quint, is drawn into a secret sado-masochistic affair with him, while Flora and Miles are increasingly in his thrall...

The Professionals: MkIII

Bodie and Doyle need little by way of introduction, but if the series had at all escaped you since its debut in 1977 their boss George Cowley, head of CI5, couldn't put it more succinctly than his opening gambit: "anarchy, acts of terror, crimes against the public. To combat it I've got special men – experts from the army, the police, from every service. These are The Professionals".

Featuring the perfect ensemble cast of Martin Shaw, Gordon Jackson (completely against type here) and the much-missed Lewis Collins, the series ran for 57 action-packed episodes and made an immediate impact on British and then international audiences which has sustained 35 years. But the series has never looked this good. Painstakingly restored from the camera-original negatives the series could have been made yesterday. No matter how many times you have seen The Professionals, this is a new experience, like seeing it for the first time.

Content and Special Features:
•Brand-new, High Definition restorations of all 13 episodes in series three from the camera-original negatives

• Remastered original as-broadcast mono tracks

•All episodes are presented in their original production order
• PDF material featuring scripts and memorabilia
• English HOH subtitles

British distributors Network will add five new titles to their Blu-ray catalog: Alfred Hitchcock's Sabotage (1936), Gus Van Sant's To Die For (1995), Peter Yates' Robbery (1967), Alberto Lattuada's Without Pity (1948), and Halas & Batchelor Collection

Sabotage

Celebrated for the macabre, tour-de-force plots and sublime twist endings that would come to define the very genre of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock is one of cinema's greatest auteurs, his career spanning six decades and over sixty films. Based on Joseph Conrad's The Secret Agent and starring Oscar Homolka and Sylvia Sidney, Sabotage is one of Hitchcock's most significant pre-war British films. Featured here in a High Definition transfer from original film elements, this classic early thriller has never looked better.

Karl Verloc, manager of a London cinema, is secretly involved with a gang of European saboteurs who are plotting a massive bomb attack in Piccadilly Circus. With the police already suspicious of Verloc, they place an undercover detective on his trail – can he bring the saboteurs to justice before they perpetrate their outrage on London?

Special Features:
Introduction by Charles Barr
On Location featurette, introduced by Robert Powell

STREET DATE: JUNE 1.

To Die For

Featuring a career-best, award-winning performance from Nicole Kidman as a relentless, malevolent news anchor with delusions of grandeur, this highly stylised neo-noir from Oscar-nominated Gus Van Sant won multiple awards – including a Golden Globe. This blackly comic tale is featured here in a High Definition transfer from original film elements in its original theatrical aspect ratio.

Fifteen minutes of fame was never going to be enough for Suzanne. Married to small-town restaurateur Larry Maretto, all she ever wanted was to be a high-flying anchorwoman on network TV. Blessed with more determination than ability, she plans her way to the top and will do absolutely anything to achieve her goals – but as Suzanne's ambition grows, her grip on reality starts to slide…

Special Features:

STREET DATE: JUNE 15.

Robbery

Based on the planning and execution of criminal cause celebre The Great Train Robbery, this taut, meticulously researched drama stars Stanley Baker as a crime boss undertaking the heist of his career – with James Booth, Frank Finlay and Barry Foster among the gang he assembles.

Co-produced by Baker and directed by multiple-Oscar-nominated Peter Yates, Robbery is a classic of British Film – exceptionally scripted (winning a WGGB Award for Best British Screenplay), beautifully acted and sporting a legendary score by composer-arranger Johnny Keating. It is presented here as a brand-new High Definition transfer transfer from original film elements in its original aspect ratio.

Having successfully pulled off a daring jewel heist, Paul Clifton prepares to hit a mail train heading south from Glasgow. Several difficulties stand in his way, however, not the least of which is the police – who are hot on his tail and already in receipt of a tip-off about his next job…

Special Features:
Original Theatrical Trailer

STREET DATE: JUNE 22.

Without Pity

Co-written by a young Federico Fellini and directed by Alberto Lattuada, this award-winning film from the earlier years of Italian Neo-realist cinema stars John Kitzmiller as a black G.I. who opts to stay in Italy rather than return to a racially segregated U.S. after falling in love with an impoverished local girl.

While its groundbreaking theme of inter-racial love made Without Pity one of the most significant and daring films of the immediate post-War period, it was banned in the United States and, as such, has never received wider recognition for its frank, sensitive handling of a subject that for many years was still controversial.

A film that helped launch Fellini's career yet little-seen throughout the decades since its initial release, Without Pity (Senza Pieta) is featured here in a brand-new High Definition restoration from the original film elements in its as-exhibited theatrical ratio.

STREET DATE: JUNE 8.

Halas & Batchelor Collection

Highly influential and internationally acclaimed, the fondly-remembered work of husband-and-wife animation team John Halas and Joy Batchelor encompassed children's series, public education films and adverts, and they were affectionately referred to as 'the British Disney'. This collection of short films will both remind and reinforce how stunningly innovative, whimsically humorous and subversively entertaining their four decade body of work actually was.

From an uncannily prophetic, Oscar-nominated satire on technological overkill and automated gridlock (Automania 2000) to the adventures of two paper-cutout canines (Snip and Snap), the films present wide-ranging content in a gloriously inventive fashion. Drawn from an archive that includes numerous international award winners, these animated gems have been newly transferred in High Definition from the original film elements; all showcase the beguiling humour, questing yet playful spirituality and sheer technical brilliance that characterised the studio's output, serving as both an introduction to and celebration of a unique body of work that is ripe for re-evaluation.

I have to say that I can recommend this Region B release for Supermarionation fans. I haven't looked at the documentary yet, but in addition to episodes from every Supermarionation show, the second disk is full of fun snippets of old TV shows, commercials, home movies, etc.; all Supermarionation related.

All episodes are HD 4:3 OAR and are introduced by Lady Penelope or Parker - can't get better than that!

Please note that this book is currently only available exclusively from networkonair. Our Callan DVDs, however, are available from all good retail outlets.

Nearly ten years in the writing, Callan: Under the Red File has been a labour of love for both Network and the book's author, Andrew Pixley. Anyone familiar with Network's releases will know our history with Andrew is a long one and he has done some excellent work for us over the years – with his books on The Prisoner, Danger Man, Public Eye and The Professionals all raising the bar for this type of archive research. Ahead of our upcoming Callan documentary, you can now buy Andrew's new book exclusively from networkonair.com.

Initially a cult success before becoming one of British television's most watched programmes, Callan brought the gritty, downbeat angle of Cold War espionage to 1960s British television. In stark contrast to the glamour of James Bond and the stylized capers of The Avengers, the man known as David Callan was a highly skilled killer, tasked by the Government to eliminate threats to national security. This reluctant, conscience-wracked assassin was brought to life in a remarkable performance by Edward Woodward, cementing his popularity as an actor many years before he achieved major international success in both Breaker Morant and The Equalizer.

This exhaustive book is the definitive look at the creation, production, broadcast and reception of all four series. From its conception as a one-off BBC play, through its development by ABC Television, its success as one of Thames Television's highest-rated programmes, its subsequent ATV revival and its expansion into novels, short stories and movies – this single volume covers every aspect of James Mitchell's most successful creation.
