MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT - July 27th - Trailer
Tom's back for more shenanigans...
Re: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT - July 27th - Trailer
I like all the M:I movies, so I'll see this. But I am very disappointed that Joe Kraemer was not asked back to do the score. I felt his Mission Impossible score was the best in the series, and one of the best action scores of the past few years.

That's too bad, his score for the last one was quite decent. Hope it's not another retread from the Tyler or Giacchino crew.
Wonder what happened there...Tom fall in love with Tyler over his MUMMY score? (can't remember a thing about it; Tyler's music is often so nondescript, it's like white noise despite being usually "orchestral").

Agreed.
Overall this series of movies continues to keep me coming back.

ROGUE NATION was about 20 minutes away from being a great movie. Too bad the ending was so weak, as the first hour of it was quite excellent and a LOT more fun than the likes of SPECTRE.

Re: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT - July 27th - Trailer
Doesnt bother me if its decent. Problem is the protracted "action climaxes" in every modern studio product are the dullest part of all of these films....interchangeable, impossible to follow, loud and endless...hope it doesnt denigrate into that, especially considering the problems Rogue Nation had coming up with a final act.
Funny I don't sense a lot of excitement for this one either. Maybe its because Cruise's films have stalled out, maybe it's because Lorne Balfe is scoring it (I think lol).

This series just keeps cranking along strongly.

Pre-release hype is through the roof from people who've seen it. Shame they hired a Zimmer Pet for the score, though.
