So, a flat $19.99 each, or are there any coupons available?

No coupons, shipping is free at $50.
It's basically the same as the Barnes & Noble sale -- but no tax.
Also, you get a $50 coupon once you hit the $500 mark.

So will they indicate when this sale begins on the website?

Remember to use promo code GOLD
Re: Criterion 50% Off Flash Sale - 24 Hours
I just put in my order. 8 Blus, coming shortly for about $110.
Between the 50% off and a 50 dollar gift certificate from the last purchase, and the free shipping, the discs come down to 13.75 each.
I actually don't pick up that many discs anymore. Criterion is one company that I will continue to follow.
My regular pattern with them now is just to list what they have projected to release over the next 6 months and then wait for a sale like this either from Criterion or Barnes & Noble.

I keep getting 1 title per month for review, so I had a few to catch up on. Got the $50 certificate which I will save for the inevitable Toho box-set hopefully later this year!

Well limited myself to five. Time to clean-up on early Hitchcock plus a couple others.
Man Who Knew Too Much (1935)
Young Mr. Lincoln (1939)
Foreign Correspondent (1940)
Cat People (1942)
In Cold Blood (1967)

I'm not sure you owned the others Eric but there is also a 4-disc "Classic Hitch" box for under $50 --

Already have 39 Steps and Lady Vanishes.
Since "Rebecca" got another issue on Blu-Ray is there any chance the old versions of "Notorious" and "Spellbound" will also make it to Blu-Ray?

Not that I've seen or heard, though it would make sense.
Re: Criterion 50% Off Flash Sale - 24 Hours
Criterion is slowly but surely making their way back round to many of their classic laserdisc and even earlier DVD releases again. I was happily surprised to see Midnight Cowboy come back from the dead here. There's a great commentary on the Criterion laserdisc, which motivated me to keep that, along with a slew of other Criterions from back in the day.
I'm also curious to see if Criterion will continue their tour of the Kubrick collection. After bringing out Paths of Glory and The Killing (which release also had Killer's Kiss on for good measure), they've moved ahead to Dr. Strangelove and Barry Lyndon. My instincts tell me they'll probably tackle Lolita next. Not sure about Spartacus, although they could well do so, simply by using Universal's excellent 2nd Blu-ray transfer of that title and adding back in all their bonus features, including the commentary. With the other Kubricks, it starts to get a little more challenging for Criterion to find a bunch of new material that would justify people coming back to the titles again. A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut were given pretty extensive bonus features in the WB Blus we already have, and I haven't heard about new work being done on those titles. 2001 is getting needed work, but I don't know that the release will go through Criterion. That title already has solid bonus material but the transfer has some glaring problems that I'm hoping the new edition will address. (Try watching any of the Dawn of Man scenes with the rear-projected photos of Africa - you'll see some truly bizarre patterns in the background...)
