A little something different this week -- the front page will have 5 different "Summer Movie" Aisle Seat favorites, all on Blu-Ray for your viewing pleasure, from Monday-Friday.
First up (goes live at Midnight tonight): WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S, starring my Twitter friend Andrew McCarthy (lol)

Re: Aisle Seat Week-Long Special: 5 Days of Summer
I've never seen Weekend at Bernie's. I think I saw Siskel and Ebert pan it and never gave it a chance. I'll have to check it out.
Coincidentally, I just got a copy of One Crazy Summer in the mail today.
Not familiar at all with North Shore.
I like this idea of picking a theme and recommending a different movie each day.

Re: Aisle Seat Week-Long Special: 5 Days of Summer
Thanks John -- just trying something a little different this week while I'm on "stay-cation".
I never really trusted Siskel & Ebert on comedies. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they often watched these films in empty screening rooms without the benefit of an audience, often times as one of 4 movies they'd see in a single day. WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S had word of mouth going for it and became a hit in spite of their review -- and they were just as dismissive of CHRISTMAS VACATION a few months later! BERNIE'S has held up really well IMO across repeat viewings.
