I just got mine from Amazon yesterday. I fogot this movie was almost 4 hours long. Even though the printed artwork in this thread looks awful, the steelbook doesn't look that bad. It has this special custom-painting aesthetic going. I kind of dig it.
Indeed,

I got mine from Amazon too...a co-worker commented that he thought the artwork on the front of the Steelbook was pretty sweet.

Back on Amazon. Ordered a copy, and will send back the DD one for a refund (once I inspect the discs and keep the best-quality ones).

Yes even with the design the Sony Steelbooks are good looking. They used a similar aesthetic for Bridge on the River Kwai and the upcoming Guns of Navarone also so those three all connect.

Just got shipping notification for my Amazon copy. I swear to God, if THIS one has a scratched disc... :x

No scratched discs or dented steelbook, thank Christ.

Good job, and just in the nick of time -- looks like this run has gone out of stock. 8)

Sony must've repressed another round because this is back in-stock at all the usual suspects.
