SERAPHIM FALLS -- Recommended

I just put up this week's new column on the front page, and have tagged "Seraphim Falls" as this week's pick of the week.
I'm stunned this movie didn't get a larger exposure. Beautifully shot by John Toll, produced by Mel Gibson, superbly acted by Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan, and I'll even go so far to say that Harry Gregson-Williams' score was exceptionally good.
It's a western, ambiguous and with a strange conclusion (which I kind of liked), but with gorgeous scenery and plenty of action as well. Definitely recommended -- the DVD is out May 15th, offers a commentary and regulation Making Of featurette. Check it out!
