Box Office Weekend 6/14: HANGOVER Stays #1, PELHAM #3

I have a good friend from out of town in for the weekend and we were going to the movies last night -- until we all realized nothing was playing!

Looks like everyone agrees. THE HANGOVER is the first movie in quite a while to stay #1 for two weekends in a row -- and has officially become the big surprise hit of 2009 so far.

Can't say I was excited about the PELHAM 1-2-3 remake...I'd rather watch the original, especially if it ever gets remastered.

It must be a testament to his comedic and acting talent because otherwise it is quite amazing how he's been able to hang in there with such a pop-like career.

not just "pop" though -- most of those movies were universally panned and didn't do well at the box-office either. I didn't even recall SHOWTIME until seeing that he and DeNiro were in it together -- at which point, I had to gather myself for a second, because I didn't remember the two of them even making a film together! lol.

VAMPIRE was absolutely awful, no doubt there Michael. Wes Craven swung and missed BAD with that one. An all-time bomb!
