Usually September brings some more adult oriented fare...but this year has been pathetic.
Numbers for the weekend. Good news for Sony's animated CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS and terrible news for everything else. Too bad about SURROGATES but when i saw the running time was chopped to under 90 minutes you knew it was DOA.

Yes, but I think even he'd have problems scoring the bulk of the dreck that Hollywood puts out today.
whats wrong with a 90min film? In the 80ies a film with running 2 hours was already regarded extended lenght... I enjoy a lean 90min film a lot more, very difficult to get bored during that duration than in a bloated 3 hours film like POTC 3 or TRANSFORMERS 2 (latter had not even enough plot and characters for 90min!)...
