BFI have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc release of The Leopard on 21st June 2010 priced at £19.99 RRP. Luchino Visconti's The Leopard (Il gattopardo) (1963), starring Burt Lancaster, Claudia Cardinale and Alain Delon comes to Blu-ray presented complete and uncut in its original widescreen aspect ratio. The High Definition transfer - from the original 35mm 8-perforation negative - was overseen by the film's Director of Photography, Giuseppe Rotunno, and features fully restored picture and sound.
