Thanks. I've been constipated all day and I needed a good laugh.Monterey Jack wrote:Edmund Kattak wrote:I see on IMDB that Henry Jackman is listed as the composer of record. Hope he can write a good theme for CAP.

Looks like a misc-calculated cost-saving measure to me. With the big-ticket items like Johnston and Silvestri off the list, I hope that this sequel's strength will be the story and characters.AndyDursin wrote:Lol. Mj saves the day with comedy after that bit of horrible news. Did Silvestri get arrested or something to fall off the Marvel vip list?
I hope they aren't going "Sony" on us.

The only Jackman score worth a damn is Puss In Boots, and that was heavily reliant on an obvious Mask Of Zorro temp track. Still, it at least used woodwinds, which is more than you can say for 99% of Team Zimmer efforts.

Hiring two guys from TV's COMMUNITY to direct the film also sounds like a cost cutting move, regrettably. But I guess it's expected given Cap was the smallest grossing of the Marvel-house produced films so far (or made slightly more than the Hulk films, though in reality less tickets after inflation and 3D counted in)Edmund Kattak wrote:Looks like a misc-calculated cost-saving measure to me. In the end, we could wind up being surprised by these guys. Who knows. I'll admit, I was a little doubtful about Kenneth Brannagh when it was announced he was directing THOR. Sure, he's a great Shakespearian dramatist, but a comic book action adventure movie? Needless to say, he did a great job. I hope the same happens for the Russos. Let's just hope that one of them doesn't get gender re-assignment surgery after the movie comes out.AndyDursin wrote:Hiring two guys from TV's COMMUNITY to direct the film also sounds like a cost cutting move, regrettably. Looks hopeful. I like that they've gone to this sort of retro looking uniform for Cap. That Avengers outfit was bit "mod" for me, but this one looks more utilitarian-functional. We'll see.AndyDursin wrote:Decent looking trailer --

Re: CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER - Trailer Released
On a side note, this GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY cast is looking quite interesting.

Re: CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER - Trailer Released
Is Emily Vancamp's role a throwaway in this film? Doesn't appear in any trailer that I've seen.
Unless they're trying to sell Scarjo as the movie's female lead...
