BACK TO THE FUTURE Visual History Book

#1 Post by AndyDursin »

Wanted to give a thumbs up to this book, which is a glossy, hardcover look back on the production of all three films. Unlike some of these studio-sanctioned retrospectives, the text for this is actually candid and interesting, as it goes into more detail about Eric Stoltz working on the film -- complete with all kinds of photos of him on the set -- than any prior documentary has.

The author was a publicist on the sequels and looks back, week by week, at how the movies were shot, when and where, with loads of quotes. There are some fun "special" elements like a lenticular photo of Marty and his family (reproduced from the first BTTF) and assorted odds and ends -- making for a really nice presentation.
