Blomkamp's ALIENS Sequel "On Hold, Pending" PROMETHEUS 2

Not shocked by this at all.

The combination of Scott wanting to make PROMETHEUS 2 -- which is supposedly going to have more of a direct line with ALIEN -- and Blomkamp misfiring badly with the godawful CHAPPIE lead Fox to make the smart play by favoring the project with the more proven director (and more commercial success).

The downside is Sigourney and company are going to be SO old by the time his movie would be made now, one wonders if it will ever happen. My guess is it will -- if Scott's film is a success. They're not going to press ahead with two "dueling" ALIEN movies at the same time.
