2nd full trailer -- this looks even better than the first one. Heavy on the ALIEN action, and not much of a "Prometheus" vibe here either (expected).

Also like the outdoor action -- a refreshing switch from the prior series entries as well.

Ha ha ha! I love that Alien at the end of the trailer!

Ridley's ready to go if the film's a hit...script for a sequel is already done:

"You've got to assume to a certain extent success and from that you'd better be ready," he says. "You don't want a two-year gap. So I'll be ready to go again next year."

and...

"If you really want a franchise, I can keep cranking it for another six," he says. "I'm not going to close it down again. No way."

I don't understand Ridley Scott's obsession with Alien movies. I love the original Alien (and Aliens), but I really feel the franchise had run its course after James Cameron's film was finished. I thought Prometheus was sufficiently entertaining, but it was more of a remake than a sequel. I'll see this movie, but I don't expect it to be as great as the original, or Aliens.

I wish Ridley would have another go at Medieval fantasy. Is he really still bruised by Legend's under-performance?

I don't know either. Could be that, at his age and stage of his career, he's just comfortable working in the genre and with material he's familiar with. He may just be done with mounting massive epics, as he seems to be alternating between moderately budgeted "character flicks" and Alien films at this point!

If Scott decided to stay with the ALIEN series I would be very happy with several more movies...I have an illness when it comes to these movies and this whole mythology, including AvP. Lol...there is no cure and I never get tired of seeing any of the films. More would be a good thing to me!

Just so long as one of these sequels is the "real" sequel to Cameron's Aliens w/Sigourney and Michael Biehn and a grown-up Newt, I say let Scott make as many more as he wants.
