Heads-up for a theatrical screening preceding the release:
Newly restored in 4K (at selected theaters) THE DARK CRYSTAL will play at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. (local time) on Sunday, February 25, and Wednesday, February 28, only. The unprecedented fantasy classic, co-directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz, and produced by Gary Kurtz (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back) first stunned audiences more than 35 years ago with its extraordinary visions and mythic storytelling.
Each screening of THE DARK CRYSTAL will be preceded by a brand-new interview with Lisa Henson, CEO and president of The Jim Henson Company, who will reflect on the making of the one-of-a-kind film and the legacy of her father, Jim.
A watershed in fantasy filmmaking, THE DARK CRYSTAL will also debut on 4K Ultra HD™ and return to Blu-ray™ and digital on March 6 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
