It was supposed to be a June 1985 release, then it got pushed back to September. Then suddenly it was playing in Britain!

I'll never forget the day I came across the issue of Cinefantastique in early 1986 whose cover story was Legend. I eagerly pulled it off the rack to see when the film was actually going to be released, and if there was any coverage of Goldsmith's score.

And indeed there was -- "Jerry Goldsmith's orchestral score has been dumped in favor of a more commercial soundtrack".

John, do you have any idea how a Jerry Goldsmith score for a major 20th Century Fox release wound-up in the hands of a neophyte label like Filmtrax?
