QR codes in the end credits of movies

#1 Post by Monterey Jack »

Last year Sound Of Freedom did it, and now Origin. It's like that "THIS SPACE FOR RENT" gag from Top Secret! has actually come to pass. :?

It's embarrassing. Even worse than product placement!

I remember being nonplussed when there was a trailer for X-Men: Days Of Future Past halfway through the end credits of Amazing Spider-Man 2. It wasn't even a promise of a future crossover (Disney's buyout of Fox was years in the future), it was just a trailer randomly thrown in there...for a movie from a rival studio! :?

Plus, sticking QR codes into movies is just gonna encourage people to have their goddamn phones out for the whole thing, which is already an obnoxious problem.
