Last year
Sound Of Freedom did it, and now
Origin. It's like that "THIS SPACE FOR RENT" gag from
Top Secret! has actually come to pass.

To quote Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "Share and Enjoy!"

It's embarrassing. Even worse than product placement!

I remember being nonplussed when there was a trailer for
X-Men: Days Of Future Past halfway through the end credits of
Amazing Spider-Man 2. It wasn't even a promise of a future crossover (Disney's buyout of Fox was years in the future), it was just a trailer randomly thrown in there...for a movie from a rival studio!
Plus, sticking QR codes into movies is just gonna encourage people to have their goddamn phones out for the whole thing, which is already an obnoxious problem.
