I might have to purchase THE SHINING. While I have enjoyed Kubrick's film immensely for what it is, I agree that the TV miniseries is way more poignant and "believable". In retrospect, from what I remember, the miniseries did a much better job in adapting the novel into something to watch. Thanks for the review.
