Some interesting ideas there - including the McHale movies, which I vaguely remember. Not sure if The Nude Bomb is worthwhile - I saw it on DVD and wasn't impressed. The later TV movie Get Smart, Again! was much more in keeping with the original series. I may pick up The Ghost and Mrs Muir TV series...

I would say though, in either way, in many cases, these films are also not making an impact beyond their local markets for the most part. I could see it work as a Harrison Ford Indy telling stories around a campfire to his grand kids "Back in my day...", introducing the new younger Indy in flashbacks.
