I'm also a big Living Daylights fan, although it still had some Roger Moore comic residue clinging to it (at least they mercifully cut that silly "flying carpet" gag), which Casino Royale thankfully omits. Again, the humor (which is there) tends to naturally arise from the situations inste...

I actually thought there was goodish amount of humor in the film. Not in the schticky nudge-nudge, wink-wink one-liners of Bonds past, but the audience seemed very pleased with the film. Agreed that the film is exceptionally brutal, but that's exactly what I wanted from this film, no more Brosnan na...

Dammit, if it's Scott, it's worth catching in a theater. And I loved Scott's last "light" film, Matchstick Men.

Right now I believe they're only doing these in box-set volumes (2 this month; 2 next month) because they're all packed in slimcases. Damn. I was hoping that I could buy these sets and sell off all the lame Bond flicks (like I did with the previous sets), but if they're all in slim cases, then I'll...

Scott's a great example. While his brother is trying deperately to be "cool" with arrested-development swill like Man On Fire and Domino , Ridley has really been on a role lately, even branching into "small" movies like Matchstick Men and the forthcoming A Good Year . And managin...

....maybe Tim Burton (BIG FISH is my favorite film of his).... Can we really say "Late Period Burton" when the man isn't even 50 yet? :? If we're lucky, we still have another 20+ years worth of Burton movies to look forward to. Steven Spielberg is still knocking them out of the park. Bria...

You can just see them making the movie, and then Harvey & Bob decide it's not gory enough for today's SAW/HOSTEL audience. The novella is pretty damn gory is spots. I just hope that Darabont only gives us glimpses of the monsters, aside from the big horror setpieces (the "tentacles" s...

This is one of my favorite King novellas, and I hope that Darabont can pull it off for the big screen. I just think, however, that it'll underperform at the box office because idiotic teenagers will think it's a "rip-off" of the Fog remake. Still, Darabont's King flicks have been fo...

So, any word on the release of season 2? I'd hate it if Universal pussed out and didn't release it.

What was the point of the love interest and -- without giving away spoilers -- the "item" that DiCaprio gives to her near the climax? Did something get cut? It was so pointless, there was nothing at the end to tie it together to anything. SPOILERS!!!!!!! I assume it was a letter fingering...

a sequel to a Jim Carrey movie without Jim Carrey! Aside from Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls , has there ever been a sequel to a Jim Carrey movie that has featured Carrey? :? What's next, Lemony Snicket: Male Gigglo with Rob Scheider as Count Olaf? And the pricetag on Evan Almighty is freaking absu...

$27 million is an excellent opening for a Scorsese movie (not even The Aviator, Scorsese's only $100+ million hit, made that much it's first weekend). I'm going to see the movie on Tuesday. Can't wait! 8)

For all the (deserved) scorn about the "kiddie gymnastics" scene in The Lost World , it's nothing compared to the inaity on display throughout JPIII . Examples: -The group comes across a vending machine in one of the buildings, and William H. Macy actually asks for change! . First off, the...
