Cruise's Bizarre Behavior Puts MI3 in Jeopardy [NY Times]

Can't say I don't blame them, either -- Dreamworks/Paramount are apparently QUITE annoyed that Cruise hasn't said a word about WAR OF THE WORLDS during this "press tour", and yet he's supposed to be going on Oprah, Access Hollywood, Insider, et al to hype the movie! Instead he's spent all ...

Good question scorehead. Alas it's a Warner title not being handled by the PR agency who is kind to us, so I can't tell for certain.

I wonder how Kaminski made the jump from Corman-Dreck to Spielberg movies in no time...
Marrying Holly Hunter couldn't have had any bearing on his career status, right??

One thing that I find amusing is that, whenever they start talking about a new BATMAN movie, the studio always sends out these comments like "this one is going to be REALLY DARK and have an edge." And guess what -- they did it on this movie too. At some point everything will regress back t...

I noticed the draining of colour too. Kamiski's style, no doubt. Cinema verite, idyllic American life becomes disaster movie. Hope it's better than Minority Report. Am I the only person who can't stand Kaminski's style? Even THE LOST WORLD had these really odd sequences where light would pour in fr...

Great link Harry. Did anyone else notice the "Tarzan" yell that appeared when the Wookies were raiding the droid troops? I think most Americans old enough to remember would instantly recall that scream as the "TARZAN yell". I noticed it in the clips they sent out to TV stations b...

BATMAN BEGINS: Unbelievably Boring Trailer

It's funny: BATMAN BEGINS has all kinds of hype, a great cast, the director of "Memento" (an overrated movie in my book but I realize it has tons of fans), a big budget, a comic book legend and cinematic franchise behind it... ..and yet the final trailer is so utterly, completely boring......

leave it to Universal to be utter cheapskates when it comes to presenting what should have been the last word on this title (in the same way all their TV show releases of late have altered music). I don't even think I'm going to buy it now, even though I still can't watch the LD because I don't hav...

Well I just received the new 30th Anniversary DVD and... ...THERE ARE NO TRAILERS OF ANY KIND ON IT! Not a teaser, not a trailer...absolutely nothing. This is, to say the very least, inexcusable!! Quite honestly this whole package is something of a disappointment. The menus have been ripped from the...

Terry Gilliam's BROTHERS GRIMM -- Another Bad Sign

Don't know if anyone else has been following the bumpy history of Dimension/MGM's BROTHERS GRIMM, but Buena Vista has once again moved the release date of Terry Gilliam's latest -- to the dumping grounds of the end of the August, no less! Once scheduled for early summer, then late July, Boxofficemoj...

Ugh, the second season WAS terrible. At least it started off OK... Interesting! I just looked at the credits and Rachel Blanchard (who's since gone onto a handful of roles in the CLUELESS TV series, plus ROAD TRIP, CARRIE 2 and others) played the young daughter of Lynda Greene. Always funny to go ba...

The only watchable parts in "Career Opportuniites" are the ones with Jennifer Connelly in them! I only vaguely remember "Labyrinth", I mean, the whole deal was David Bowie make a new movie, but yep, Jennifer was there too! Wanna go back, really way back? Then watch Sergio Leone'...

WOW! That was her?! Laughing Indeed it was! (Yeah those WERE the days, eh?? ;) You know what's funny, obviously JC is attractive, but I think she was even better looking when she was younger. She looks hardened (for lack of a better term) and is a bit too thin in some of her more recent parts...DAR...

The list is endless. You really take a chance when you decide to make a prequel to something, but especially something like Star Wars. IMHO, they botched it and I wish the prequel films as we know them had never been made. That's fair Eric. There will be some fans that feel that way. I was totally ...
