It is still going to make hundreds upon hundreds of millions of dollars I think and probably make more than its money back.

Re: All Things BATMAN Thread

Season Two of the Batman TV series has an obnoxious amount of episodes in it which is going to take me a while to watch, so before moving on to Tim Burton's 1989 BATMAN movie, just a couple of comments on Season Two of the TV series so far: the season opens with a loud 'THUD' with the boring villain...

Re: Next Bond Will Be "Reinvention," Couple of Years Away From Shooting

Right - unfortunately we all have to face up to the fact (I am guessing) that the Bond of the future will be less like the books and less like what we grew up on. The world has changed and so will Bond and there is nothing anyone can do about it. For me personally, the final Bond film I will acknowl...

Good observation Eric! I did not realize that was her. BATMAN THE MOVIE (1966). 10/10. Although the movie was supposed to have been made and released before the TV series began, it ended up being released after the first season of the TV show at the height of Bat-Mania. I had not seen this film for ...

Re: All Things BATMAN Thread

Just finished wrapping up the first season of the Batman TV show - despite how corny it can get, the entertainment value of these shows is off the charts. Frank Gorshin's Riddler is outstanding - at times completely over the top and at other times calm, creepy and twisted. I find Burgess Meredith's ...

All Things BATMAN Thread

So in light of having just watched THE BATMAN, I decided to go back and watch the TV show and the movies again just for fun. This will be a long project. However, I recently bought the complete Batman original TV show on Blu-Ray and wanted to make a few comments: The TV show brings back so many memo...

YOJIMBO (1961; 9/10)/A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS (1964; 9/10) - Recently watched both of these films and re-discovered how much fun and how well made each film is. YOJIMBO tells the story of a masterless samurai (Sanjuro, played by Toshiro Mifune) who happens upon a village where two merchants (the sake me...

Re: NO TIME TO DIE [Bond 25] - SPOILER Talk

Along with THE BATMAN, I finally watched NO TIME TO DIE. My only question after the film ended was, "Was this ending really necessary?" I have spoken of my enjoyment of the Daniel Craig era - I think his films on the whole are very good, and SKYFALL is one of the most moving Bond films I h...

Re: THE BATMAN - March 2022 - Andy's Review

I just saw THE BATMAN today - I enjoyed it. I don't think it's the best Batman film out there, but I was engaged throughout the movie and didn't get bored at the long running time. It actually worked better for me than I thought it would...though instead of having The Riddler be the introductory cha...

MR. ARKADIN [The Corinth Version, 1955, 99 minutes; The Comprehensive Version, 2006, 105 minutes]/CONFIDENTIAL REPORT [European Cut, 1955, 98 minutes]. 6/10. Right off the bat I have to say that I am likely ranking this film way higher than it should be, but for whatever reason I am completely fasci...
