Re: Dalton on his tenure as 007: "I was punished for being right"

Although I was not a huge fan of License to Kill, I did thoroughly enjoy The Living Daylights and saw it several times in the theater. I understand the choice to make Bond more personable and charming in the movies as he really is not all that likeable of a character in the novels; however, after ...

Re: Read a Book, then Watch Its Movie!

I have railed about Bond forcing his way on Pat Fearing in "Thunderball" many times myself but I honestly never saw a similar parallel with Pussy in "Goldfinger" because the difference is that doing that with Pussy serves the mission. In "Thunderball" he's doing it to a civilian woman at a time ...

Michael, they were supposed to, but so far there's no sign of it.

They were also talking about possibly releasing TRAIL, which is the only one in the series they haven't released, and is still out of print (only the Shout box-set has it). Maybe they're waiting on that, though they also said they ...

Andy, do you know if Kino will have a 4K Box Set of the PANTHER films? I think I asked it before but cannot remember if I did or not...lol...will be profoundly less expensive than buying the individual titles.

Re: Read a Book, then Watch Its Movie!

There are some spoilers below when talking about the movie - cannot help but discuss them. If anyone else has seen this film and/or read the book I would love to hear your thoughts on the film and/or book.

Spider by Patrick McGrath (1990, 221 pages). In the late 1950s, Dennis Cleg (‘Spider’) has ...

Re: rate the last movie you saw

BLADE RUNNER, to me, is an outstanding, beautiful film that moves me to tears when I see it. I am in the minority here but I am not a huge fan of the voice-over narration. I like the versions without the narration better but can watch any of the cuts with the same level of interest. Theamtically I ...
