Re: Imprint/ViaVision (Australia) Thread: New Announcements
Imprint tapping the ITC well for May with six new box sets.
Note these are not new masters, they're all the same transfers that Network, Shout, etc. all previously released. So for the most part you can find alternative releases, elsewhere, for much less, for exactly the same content...and some of these are in need of remastering.
The one set that looks nice and does have a few additional extras is RAISE THE TITANIC, which has a hardbound book and the test footage of the 1912 sinking which they didn't use (but DID end up being used in other movies and TV series).

Note ESCAPE TO ATHENA came out from Shout as a limited edition with MARCH OR DIE -- it's currently $5 at Hamilton Book, and you will get all the same extras and transfer (just not Imprint's new commentary):

The Raise The Titanic expert has written a big comprehensive book on the making of the film that was quite informative. But what I want to know is that they say they're presenting Barry's score isolated. Does this mean the original tracks have been found or does this mean they're just using the Silva re-recording for that bonus?

Re: Imprint/ViaVision (Australia) Thread: New Announcements
I definitely wouldn't get excited, the previous Network release had an "isolated score" suite, I'd expect it's just the same as that. I believe it was either mono and/or mixed from a music/FX element, I can't imagine they found the masters because Imprint doesn't actually do any digging around in the vault. Their claim it's "stereo" is probably inaccurate -- i.e. they looked at the Network track and figured because it's a 2-channel (2.0) track it's stereo, when all it means is it's dual mono across two channels.

It shouldnt be out of stock, they havent put it up for sale yet. They said mid April would be when they would start taking orders on all of those.

From the press release it indicated they would start selling it in mid April. So unless you've seen them taking orders I'd say they arent taking orders yet.
I mean, this isnt the first release of this, I cant imagine its going to move that many copies that quickly.

The recent releases of Department S, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Stingray and Supercar being prime examples. I still have the Network releases of the first three, and judging by comments from other ITC fans, they don't seem to be biting.AndyDursin wrote: Mon Apr 06, 2026 7:54 pm From the press release it indicated they would start selling it in mid April. Exactly. If this were the first go-around, maybe...but even with the extras, it's still the same old transfer from a few decades ago.
Would be nice if the ITC theatrical catalog got a 4K remaster.

Here we go again...
Australian label Imprint Films has informed us that it will release a Hardbox 4K Blu-ray edition of Tobe Hooper's Lifeforce (1985), starring Steve Railsback, Peter Firth, Frank Finlay, Mathilda May, and Patrick Stewart. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on May 12.
Description: LIFEFORCE is an 80s British sci-fi horror like no other. Directed by the great Tobe Hooper, this neon-soaked fever dream is packed with disturbing, surreal, erotic visuals that must be seen to be believed.
When a deep-space mission investigating Halley's Comet unknowingly brings back a mysterious humanoid creature, the population of London is quickly plunged into a nightmare of vampiric terror. The city quickly descends into chaos as the insatiable evil force builds towards an apocalypse…
The original Theatrical Cut and the longer, director-approved International Cut are both included on 4K UHD (in Dolby Vision) and on Blu-ray, alongside hours of Special Features that dive into the fascinating story behind the making of Lifeforce.
Includes a 120-page Hardcover Booklet featuring the original press kit, original production stills, and the original script.

That didn't take long! I read Imprint's encoding was poor, really no reason to do anything but buy the Arrow 4K UHD which outdoes it on every front.

I'm surprised by their choices sometimes. I have been asking about a standard edition of The Avengers: The Tara King Collection, but so far, they haven't shown any interest.AndyDursin wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2026 7:57 pm That didn't take long! Imprint has their latest now up for ordering, but you can save a few dollars by nabbing them from either of these vendors who I recommend:
https://www.orbitdvd.com/ - Free shipping on 3 titles
https://www.atomicmoviestore.com/ - Free shipping over $60

Re: Imprint/ViaVision (Australia) Thread: New Announcements
Too late for me, I ordered the set with "55 Days At Peking" (one down, three to go on those Bronston titles!) and "Raise The Titanic". I decided I could pass on "Escape To Athena" because given how bad every new commentary I've listened to of late has been, I have little faith this would be any better and can stick to the Shout! release and likewise the existing release with "Cassandra Crossing".
